I asked a question if squatting is the proper way of defecating, and a doctor in this section responded: "So you are blissfully unaware of human anatomy, huh? Putting the knees above the colon would make things much worse. Standing would actually be the best in terms of physiology… however, most people without a toilet would squat so low as to not get **** all over themselves. Or is that too obvious?"

SO, is it anatomy or physiology then that is the issue with squatting? How would putting the knees above the colon make things worse? Because he was able to type that it is self evidently true? How, PHYSIOLOGICALLY does standing change anything for the better? Does he know what the difference between anatomy and physiology is?

Hi, i’m an 18 years old girl, and i just got diagnosed of polyps on my colon.

I think i have actually noticed that something was not normal with my abdomen since about 2 or 3 years ago, cause i noticed that bright red blood occurs several times when i went to the toilet. but i thought it was okay, so i didnt tell my parents yet. and then about 9 months ago, i told my parents about it and we instantly assumed that it was hemorrhoid (since my father and his siblings have had taken hemorrohoid surgery). but then later on this week, i went to the gynecologist because my period circulation is very rapid, and when the doctor check my rectum with his finger, he told me to go to the surgeon because he’s suspicious of the hemorrhoid.

So right after that, I went to my uncle who is a surgeon (he haven’t know about my “hemorrhoid” yet). And then he “slipped in” a tube like sort of thing into my rectum and I don’t know what happened back there but I hear my uncle told my mom and the nurse beside him to look at those little grape like things. Then my uncle said that it wasn’t hemorrhoid but it was polyp. So I have to take surgery, and then after the polyp has lifted, it will be sent into the lab for a test. But my uncle told me that he wants me to go to another surgeon (digestive surgeon to be specific) before operation. And he said that how can you haven’t notice anything about it until today? You should’ve noticed it, since the polyps are not small (he didn’t said that they were big though). And I told him that I noticed the fresh blood and the mucus, but I thought that it was hemorrhoid.

I know that I will get the diagnoses from these doctors, but since I’m just curious and I haven’t made any appointments with another surgeon yet, can you help me with these questions please?
1.Is it possible that my uncle is mistaken? I mean that it really was a hemorrhoid.
2.If it is polyp, can you give a quick diagnose if this polyps are harmless polyps or not (cancer etc)?
3.Is it possible to have a colon cancer at the age of 18?

so i’m 14 years old. it was just an average midnight during summer break, when just a few moments ago.. i went to go to the washroom to take a sh*t, then after i was done. i noticed it was a lot wetter than usual, then i looked. it was red. i looked that the toilet was filled with "blood". so it can be internal/external Hemorrhoids. i don’t know what just happened. but it was not painful. it felt like any other bathroom break. the pee was not red. i also ate mcdonalds 30 minutes before this happened. it was kinda bright red color. so can someone tell me what the hell just happened?

So here is the story so far. I am around 20 years old and since I was 16 or 17 I have slowly started to bleed in the rectum area. At first it was just minor bleeding with bright blood on the stool or dripping in the toilet. It began to get a lot worse and I went it and got a hemorrhoid removed. Two actually. Now what is going on is it is bleeding again and it is getting darker and darker. Also it gets sticky in a way. I have a great diet and i take care of myself. But recently I have noticed that it also happens more when I am active (playing soccer, sports etc). I played for my entire life until this started and now it just gets worse. Also when it happens my gut and lower back tends to hurt. It is not some minor bleeding either. It is more than I have bled from a scissor cut or even the back of a hammer in my leg (don’t ask). Give me some ideas and I can give more detail if needed. Thanks

hi. i am 26 y/o healthy. i don’t really know how to explain without sounding gross but for like a week or so i am shitting blood, like there’s bright red blood all over the toilet. i d k what color the shit is cuz kinda of hard to see through the blood and today i had the urge to go after lunch and the only thing that came out was blood, bright red blood and none else. i don’t have any external hemorrhoids nor am i doing any weird sexual stuff. i am also not constipated. it doesn’t hurt or burn. can someone tell if its bad or not.
