The past few days iv been experiencing constipation, and yesterday/today iv noticed very uncomfortable pain when using the restroom, aswell as seeing blood both on the toilet paper and in the toilet. The bleeding really initially started yesterday, is it possible to let the inflamed veins heal themselves while i just take something that will stop my constipation, but no medicine that will actually directly help the hemorrhoid?

First of all i want to point out that I am a young straight male who is a virgin and I do not put anything into my anus. I know some immature people are going to leave some rude comments if I don’t make this clear.

About three months ago I had a colonscopy and the doctor found that my colon has no problem other than a very small internal hemorrhoid. About half a month after that when I was in bathroom I past some rock-hard stools and i felt like there was a cut on my anus and it hurted as hell, then a few drop of blood dripped down to the toilet. From then on everytime when I walk or run for a while my anus will feel irritated, not painful, just some very uncomfortable feeling; in addition, from then on about every two week i would notice blood on my stool and toilet paper, but most of the time it’s not painful at all. And the blood is sometimes birhgt red and somtimes its a little bit darker, but not very dark.

I am guessing it is because I have not fully recovered from the fissure, but one thing that confuses me is that now when I see blood on my stool I wont feel any pain, cause I know fissure is supposed to be painful everytime when passing stools. I am wondering if the uncomfortable feeling I get when walking/jogging and the blood is due to the fissure that I had or the hemorrhoid? Please tell me what you think If you or somebody you know have or had similar problem. Thanks in advance.

I did think about going back to the doctor but I want to see if I can solve this problem myself first. I read online that fissure takes a long time to heal and suggested treatment includes warm bath, stool softener and fiber, I am afraid that when i go to the doctor he will just tell me to do the same thing, I am a poor student and can’t afford high health care cost!

Okay, so sorry for the extreme tmi here, but I’m so curious!!
I’m 22wks 5d with baby #2.
She was moving normal all day yesterday, everything was okay. I went to the bathroom about an hour after dinner, and about 15 minutes after putting baby #1 down for the night.
I peed, I pooped, no big deal. Nothing hurt, no serious straining.
When I wiped there was a massive amount of blood on the toilet paper, so much that I couldn’t tell which hole (again SORRY) it had come from. I stand up and the toilet water isn’t just really pink, it is blood red, like dark blood red. It scared the living sh*t out of me!!!!
I called my husband to come get me, called my mother to come sit with my little girl, and was at the hospital about 7 minutes later. Again, no cramping, absolutely NO discomfort at all.
Luckily in this tiny rinky dink town the hospital is never that busy, and if you’re past 20wks, you can go straight up to labor and delivery without even stopping to register, with any concerns or problems you have. I called them on the way so they had a room, gown, monitors, everything already set up.
They got a urine sample, hooked me up to the monitor, and found her heartbeat, what a wonderful sound!
A little while later after checking to make sure she was moving okay, the nurse checked me, internally. There was absolutely no blood, and she said it must have been INTERNAL HEMORRHOIDS!!!
I was so hugely relieved and embarrassed at the same time!!!
She said it might have been a tiny little vessel that burst, causing no discomfort. She said it’s no big deal, we had a good laugh, and I left, with instructions to come right on back if there was anything else going on.
I was seriously mortified!! Has this happened to anyone else????
I’ve never even heard of this happening to someone!

Okay I had my son about 6 months ago…off and on since then I have had off and on bleeding when going to the bathroom. It is sometimes on the surface of stool and on the toilet paper. I went to see my OBGYN about it about 2 months ago and he told me that it appeared as if I had an internal hemorroid. He has recommended using Metamucil everyday and lots of fluilds and such. Nothing happened since then…then about 4 days ago it occured again after not taking the metamucil for about 4 days. This will be too much information but it feels almost as if when you have really chapped lips or dry hands and the skin cracks that’s what it feels like. I am of course making an appointment with a digestive doctor but wondering if anyone had a similar thing or if they can tell me how they will test etc.

Hey,
For the past 2 or 3 weeks I’ve noticed some bright red blood in my stool… (well, not actually ON it I don’t think, but on the toilet paper). I can’t feel any lumps or anything but I’m really worried. The blood is the same colour as when you cut yourself. Fresh red blood. It’s not just a few drops, it’s like I’ve got a small nose bleed or something.
I’m only 14 (and female, by the way) but could it be bowel cancer? I’m embarassed to tell my mum because, well, how do you bring it up in conversation?
