I hope someone out there can give me some advice/insight…
Approx 3.5 weeks ago (after some heavy lifting- moving furniture) I developed a very painful hemorrhoid, I experience some bleeding. After 4 days I went to the doctor (a dr i have never been too and would not prefer to go back to – did not seem to know what she was talking about). Based on a visual exam (pain was too intense to do any further exam) She told me that I was experiencing both hemorrhoids and anal fissures. She had to call in another dr (who did not examine me), he prescribed proctosol hc 2.5% and recommended stool softeners and sitz baths. A follow up appointment was not recommended or scheduled. It has been 12 days since that appointment- while I am much better than I was I am still experiencing moderate to severe pain 90% of the time. The problem felt like it was on my left side, over the last few days I have started to experience mild pain/discomfort on the left side of my vagina, my perineum also appears swollen and is somewhat tender. Deification has improved, it is not regular yet and pain is increased afterward.
Should I been 100% better at this point – is it normal to take nearly a month to recover from something like this or could there be something more serious going on? I have experienced hemorrhoids only once before – mild pain, went away in a few days. I am otherwise in good health and shape. I hope that someone as some legitimate advise – aside from "go back to the doctor"
Thank you
so i went to the doctor because i had bloody stool and blood in general like a lot and i have a family history on colon cancer, the doctor did an exam and she said it was internal hemorrhoids but i still want a second opinion because they made a similar mistake when my family member was being treated. i just don’t know what to think because im scared the doctor might be wrong. she put me on stool softeners but those give me bad cramps and my body just feels horrible and i get really really nauseous. im not scared i just want to make sure cause its worrying me. thanks
I have been to the ER and they gave me Hydrocotisone cream and stool softeners. I took an couple of Ibuprofen and am still in so much pain! I can’t take it. What can i do to bring down the swelling. I feel like my butt hole is falling out!!!
ok, So I’m a 20 year old male, and my boyfriend is a 21 year old male. I have had 2 sexual encounters, 1 where we did bj’s and I went inside him. The guy had only 1 sexual relationship prior to us doing that that I know of. Then the other one was just a bj with a guy who had done nothing with another guy. My boyfriend has done nothing but jacking off with other guys, and that’s it. Well me and my boyfriend have been going out for about 3 months, and we have jacked off together, and given each other bj’s. Well we have decided that we want to take the next step in sex, i.e. go all the way. Well my only problem is that a year ago I found out I had internal hemorrhoids, so I would bleed when I would poop. Well since then, I have been taking laxatives and stool softeners to help me poop more easier. Well it has been a year, and if I don’t take my stool softeners or laxatives, then my poop is hard, and I’m afraid it’s going to cause my hemorrhoids to open up again. How long does it take for hemorrhoids to go away? My other question is that when me and my boyfriend go all the way, will my hemorrhoids effect us having sex? Will I start to bleed or something? I love my boyfriend a lot, and he loves me. I want to go all the way with him, so is it possible that I can without problems? Oh, and yes he knows about my problem, but I told him not to worry about it cause I don’t think it should be a problem.
I had a hemorrhoid with a blood clot and i got it surgically removed about 2 days ago. Im still in alot of pain and im afraid to use the bathroom. Im taking stool softeners and not really eating any solid foods but im just afraid its still going to be very painful. Would taking a laxative be a good idea?
