I’ve had an external thrombosed bleeding hemorrhoid for 3 weeks now, 2 weeks ago i saw the regular doctor who told me to do sitz baths and take fiber supplements, it helped the pain but not completely. I have a proctologist appointment this week, it still bleeds, hurts and is annoying. Is there anything the proctologist could do for me to get rid of this as soon as possible that I could demand. I’m afraid he will tell me it would go away on it’s own in a few weeks or months. I want it gone ASAP.

My internal roids were painless….until my mother told me to take laxatives to go to the bathroom. After going so many times today w/t diahrea like bowl movements my hemroids are even mooore uncomfortable!!! and now they burn! I’ve tried sitz baths and my cream but it’s not helping me any now

I have had an external hemmie for two weeks. I have done everything that is recommended. I regularly exercise, added more fiber, taken baths and sitz baths, tried the topical ointment (which doesn’t work). It is sort of asymptomatic - doesn’t bleed, isn’t overly painful, the thing isn’t huge either - about the size of quarter of a grape. Only thing that does bother it a bit is when I sit for a long time. Last time I had one 5 years ago I think it took a good month to go away. Should I see a doctor about this? The stuff I have read on line indicates they will likely tell me to keep doing what I am doing and it will go away eventually. I have read where people have these for weeks and weeks. Any similar experiences out there?

So the pain started on Thursday night/Friday last week and it was quite big (like the size of 2 peas). Now it causes little pain but I can feel 2 bumps nearby which could be more being produced? I dunno I only noticed them just now.

Anyway - how long should I leave it before I go to the doctor? I THINK they’ve shrunk a bit and bear in mind I reallllly don’t want to go to the doctor because I’m really self-conscious.

I have eaten fibre rich foods and obviously it has helped with digestion but it’s not really helping this I think. :3

Also I am going to do sitz baths more often - as I’m still at school I can only make one a day.

I’m also really young to have this which I’m slightly concerned about. I did sorta ’self diagnose’ but I have no idea what else it could be.

I’m a female in my mid 20’s with 2 children. I have developed a prolapsed hemorrhoid and have had it for about a year and 1/2 now. At least I first noticed it a year and 1/2 ago. I looks like a piece of reddish/pinkish swollen skin protruding through my anus. It stick out all the time but it does get smaller between bowel movements. It causing discomfort as well. What will the Dr. do for me? I plan to go see her soon for this. What can I do at home besides sitz baths? I’ve been putting Vaseline on it mainly to relieve itching. I’ve been reading about treatments online and the idea of any sort of surgery freaks me out!!! I had my gallbladder out back in March and I have enough digestive issues from that and I keep reading people having problems with that after surgery. I’ve also heard it’s terribly painful! I have 2 little ones at home and my husband works a lot so that really worries me! Also, I read it can become strangulated, how logn does it take for that to happen? Will it get worse before that happens or will it just happen out of the blue? I’m SO SCARED! HELP!!!!
