Ok, i know this is a little gross so bare with me…

I don’t know if i might have Internal hemorrhoids, so i’m looking for someone to maybe describe what it feels like, or tell me what they think based on my symptoms.

I’m feeling pressure in the opening, right where the muscles are to contract the anus…its almost like when you contract them, theres something in the way i guess…i dunno how to describe it. but i’m not feeling any pain, not even during bowel movements. there is no bleeding, or excessive itching. i’ve felt around and didn’t find any lumps, but i’m not about to stick my finger in there to look…so i think i might have an internal hemorrhoid…but all it is is pressure…

Does that sound like a hemorrhoid to you? please help me if you can. thanks to anyone who does

He has Parkinson disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, and a heart condition. He takes several medications a day including pain pills for his back. I know the pain pills can cause constipation, but not to the extremity of it now. He uses enemas, and laxatives, including sorbitol (for severe constipation) and it seems nothing is helping. He occasionally uses hemorrhoid cream as well. He eats lots of T.V dinners, soups, sausage, and processed meats. His diet is horrible, but he is having trouble cooking for himself. He also sits at home in his chair and watches T.V most of the day and has trouble getting any exercise because of his deteriorating muscles. He is week and nauseous most of the time. I am getting ready to move in with him to care for him and am wondering if there is a certain diet that may help, or if it will require treatment from a physician. We have been to several doctors and all they do is change his medicine around. PLEASE I AM DESPERATE!! He needs help.

My Urologist is saying I have Bladder Reflux (BR) and I need an Inter-Stim Pacemaker. After doing research I read that BR does not usually show any pain or outward symptoms but yet this Physician is in a hurry to default to this surgery and device. I am a survivor of Infantile Neuroblastoma (Cancer) and have a severely atrophied pelvis as a result of the cancer treatment. Recently I was hospitalized for severe abdominal pain (bladder area) and no urination and the "diagnosis" was Bladder Reflux which I say is BS. My take is it was either the ureter being pinched by intestines/colon in the smaller than normal pelvic area OR a muscle issue with pelvic floor or hip flexor (sp) muscles. ANY help or advice would be welcomed. I am definitely a unique case and I feel the doctors are ignoring my physical anatomy differences due to the cancer and just defaulting to the "easy" way out for them which more than likely isn’t the TRUE cause. H E L P, please.

Sorry for the many questions on hemorrhoids!

So my doc’s appointment got moved back to next week to look at my PROLAPSED hemorrhoid. Till then I am helping my body in the following ways:

- Increase fiber + water intake.
- Avoid going to the john until the "urge" hits. Then I breathe in and out to help avoid straining. I use wipes.
- Adding bioflavoroids (sp?) to diet to strengthen veins.

After starting this home treatment, I notice that when I have "proper" bowel movements (no hard stools, little straining, quick and dirty), I see less blood in the toilet, and less blood when wiping. Also, my hemorrhoid goes back in quicker and easier(shrinking?).

Note: I said "when I have…" I try to have good bowel movements everytime, but occasionally I don’t get enough water, or fiber, etc.

As you may guess, I am not a fan of invasive surgery, hence the home treatment. I research a bit and found that high fiber diets do reduce symptoms, but take a while!

Am I going in the right directions?
P.S I am a college student, so surgery would hinder me a lot, but if it’s the only way, I guess I must.

Also I am sorry if any descriptions gross you out!

Finally, for the medical experts/past experiencers, my hemorrhoid is not painful when it protudes, and when I contract the muscles, it goes back in smoothly. As my diet improves, the amount of blood on my feces decreases.

I am 20 years old and I think I have external hemorrhoids. Theres no pain but I want them gone, what can i do? Don't make fun of me but I have looked at my butt hole and when the muscles are tight they go in but when it is relaxed the hemorrhoids show up. They are dark purple and I have seen other pictures so I am sure they are external hemorrhoids. They look like a clot and stuff. What can I do? I want them gone. They are ugly and I don't want them to get bigger. Can I do anything other than surgery to get rid of them?
