virus in me (herpies virus) and my bowel habbits have changed. In 2005 I had lots of blood in my diarea. Now I have mucus I am passing out all the time. I was just reading up on bowel cancer and cancer of the Anus came up. I have all the sypmtoms of that. I never even thought of cancer of the anus as I have never heard of it before. I am female of 38. My bowel motion has changed 180 degrees and my Feritin is depleted for no reason as I eat well, so I do not understand it. I hve a small lump in my anus and I am itching all the time 24/7 and the itchingness has spread to inside of me as well non stop. This is driving me crazy. I cannot stand it. My blood tests were all normal expect for my Ferritin. I do not have gastro as I was checked for that, and I have no infection or bug as I was checked for that too. I have a need to go to the toilet so much more frequently and when I do I pass stools that are so soft and mucusy all the time. I have a feeling I have cancer of the anus,
and not bowel cancer as I thought. It is all finaly coming together for me now. All the symptoms I have been getting for over 2 years now, this makes sence. I heard that if you have the HPV virus it makes you more prone to it, as I have had the HPV in by body for a few years now. I am itching all the time and this has been going on for awile now. I am finaly getting to the bottom of this. The lump I am going to have investigated. Help I am scared. I not afraid of death as I know where I am going just the process. Do you know anyone with this disease or have you got it or had it? It is a rare desease, but a cancer never the less, and anyone can get it.

I’ve noticed a change in my toilet habits and my fecal matter. I get diarrhea sometimes, when I really have to go, and I’m a bit constipated when I don’t have to go. When I go normally, it’s not as ‘solid’ as it used to be, and the color is more of a yellow. A while ago, there was what seemed to be mucus too. This started happening when I changed my diet.

I have no family history of bowel cancer, and I have a pretty healthy diet, and I’m quite active (I go swimming and walking a lot, and have PE 3 days a week)…
It’s changed…as in I’ve been a lot more than I used to…I used to be a really fussy eater and ate the same thing everyday, it’s more varied now

I also have the HPV virus in me and have had that for a few years now. Today I found out that if you have the HPV you are much more at risk of getting cancer of the anus. I am passing out all mucus in my bowels now, and I feel the urge to go a lot and when I do it is soft and mucusy, this is all the time. I am 38 and female, with a history of cancer in my family. I have a lump of my bum and I will be getting a biopys taken of that soon. Things are now making sence, and it has taken awile to put it all together. I found out colonoscopys do not detect anus cancer, just colon. The itchingness has spread to other areas and I cannot stand it. I am not scared of death
as I know where I am going but I am scared of the process. This itching is driving me mad, and I was told today that cancer of the anus is all part of it. I will have to get my lump biopsyied. so worried here. Any advice for me? Becasue if it does turn out that I have what I now suspect I will accept it. This explains all the diarea over the 2 and a half year period and bleeding and all. wow I am finaly getting to the bottom of this.

Five weeks ago I had 2 polyps removed. Since that time I have been having a lot of mucus in my bowel movements. I have never had this problem before in my life. The doctor said I have internal hemorrhoids – could they be causing the mucus? Does the removal of polyps cause it? Could there be an infection where the polyps were removed which might cause the mucus? I’m quite concerned.

For six months now, I have been having irregular stools; urge to defecate, narrow stools (sometimes float), some mucus, sometimes frequently defecating (6/7 times a day sometimes more). I also have a sweaty sensation around my anus, especially when I move. I defecated blood last week for the first time. Those are my symptoms. I had a blood and stool test that showed nothing unusual. Can this be internal hemorrhoids? I have discomfort around the rectum but no pain. Thanks!
