Hi, i’m an 18 years old girl, and i just got diagnosed of polyps on my colon.

I think i have actually noticed that something was not normal with my abdomen since about 2 or 3 years ago, cause i noticed that bright red blood occurs several times when i went to the toilet. but i thought it was okay, so i didnt tell my parents yet. and then about 9 months ago, i told my parents about it and we instantly assumed that it was hemorrhoid (since my father and his siblings have had taken hemorrohoid surgery). but then later on this week, i went to the gynecologist because my period circulation is very rapid, and when the doctor check my rectum with his finger, he told me to go to the surgeon because he’s suspicious of the hemorrhoid.

So right after that, I went to my uncle who is a surgeon (he haven’t know about my “hemorrhoid” yet). And then he “slipped in” a tube like sort of thing into my rectum and I don’t know what happened back there but I hear my uncle told my mom and the nurse beside him to look at those little grape like things. Then my uncle said that it wasn’t hemorrhoid but it was polyp. So I have to take surgery, and then after the polyp has lifted, it will be sent into the lab for a test. But my uncle told me that he wants me to go to another surgeon (digestive surgeon to be specific) before operation. And he said that how can you haven’t notice anything about it until today? You should’ve noticed it, since the polyps are not small (he didn’t said that they were big though). And I told him that I noticed the fresh blood and the mucus, but I thought that it was hemorrhoid.

I know that I will get the diagnoses from these doctors, but since I’m just curious and I haven’t made any appointments with another surgeon yet, can you help me with these questions please?
1.Is it possible that my uncle is mistaken? I mean that it really was a hemorrhoid.
2.If it is polyp, can you give a quick diagnose if this polyps are harmless polyps or not (cancer etc)?
3.Is it possible to have a colon cancer at the age of 18?

I think i have bowel or colon cancer because i have been having a really hard time going to the bathroom lately. I have been like this since nov, i started with constipation every now and then and then as the months went by it started hurting more and more to go to the restroom, i bleed bright red blood from my anus and i find it in my stool. The last 1 month have been the worst, i have had excruciating pain when i go to the restroom, i don’t go to the restroom for approximately 4 to 5 days :/ which is horrible last friday i drank a magnesium citrate bottle and it helped me for the day, although my stool came out as diarrhea it still hurt and burned like hell!! on sunday i found a hemorrhoid and i have been putting preparation H. Since sunday i have been drinking Metamucil 2 times a day. since sat the only day i went to the restroom was on wednesday, only because i did an enema wash but even that didn’t help, my stool didn’t come out the way it was suppose too. I have lost a big amount of weight the past week and my appetite has dramatically reduced, my stomach always just feels uncomfortable, and is always hurting. This includes drinking lots of water and eating very healthy each day, especially eating a lot of fruits. :/ im really worried and i know i have to get it check out, but my parents don’tt always take it too seriously, it just worries me the most because im only 16 ;( so yeah i have tried everythingg from laxatives, to washes, stool softenersrs everyday, to fiber cereals and now the fiber drink but nothing is working, i really cant handel the pain anymore i cry every time. whats your guys opinion? please and thank you:)
so my problems are stomach pains, extreme constipation, weight loss, blood in stool and i bleed every time i go which isn’t often combined with a lot of pain, also a hemorrhoid and lately my anus gets itchy. also a mucus comes out too. please help

I just experienced an episode of rectal bleeding. It was not a lot of blood, but was rather disconcerting.

I am 24 years old…have occasionally experienced hemorrhoids, but nothing recently.

The bleeding did not last long and there is no pain or real discomfort. Still rather concerned. I seem to suffer a malady where when I go from warm to cold environments, my mucus membranes will act up, causing me to vomit.

I just threw up, while sitting on the toilet. Could the pressure from sitting caused the temporary bleeding?

i am 17 when i pass stool my anus becomes puffy around the rim but i do not have any other symptoms of hemorrhoids such as pain itching bleeding mucus and so forth is it common to get hemorrhoids without these other symptoms or could this be something else thankyou

virus in me (herpies virus) and my bowel habbits have changed. In 2005 I had lots of blood in my diarea. Now I have mucus I am passing out all the time. I was just reading up on bowel cancer and cancer of the Anus came up. I have all the sypmtoms of that. I never even thought of cancer of the anus as I have never heard of it before. I am female of 38. My bowel motion has changed 180 degrees and my Feritin is depleted for no reason as I eat well, so I do not understand it. I hve a small lump in my anus and I am itching all the time 24/7 and the itchingness has spread to inside of me as well non stop. This is driving me crazy. I cannot stand it. My blood tests were all normal expect for my Ferritin. I do not have gastro as I was checked for that, and I have no infection or bug as I was checked for that too. I have a need to go to the toilet so much more frequently and when I do I pass stools that are so soft and mucusy all the time. I have a feeling I have cancer of the anus,
Tj no I do not have hemeroids I have been checked for that. Itisnot the bleeding anymore as it was 2 years ago and eary this year. The bleeding has ceesed, and now I have a lump in my anus that could mean cancer. Cancer runs in my family. I believe do do have it. I wil get my lump biopsied soon enough and to the person underneath no it is not worms I had that cheaked too. I beleive it is cancer. But I will except it if it is. Thanks
