I am bleeding when I have a bowel movement, and I think I have internal hemorrhoids. I'm pretty sure I have to go to the doctor's and I am TERRIFIED! Can someone let me know what I can expect, like what they are going to do to treat it??

I have painful internal hemorrhoids from having a baby 18 days ago. I've been taking stool softeners for 2 weeks and am beginning to wonder if they're going to go away on their own or if I'm going to have to go into the doctor's office. Does anyone have experience with this?
