This first started on sunday with constipation and by now (Friday), the pain has only gotten worse after each bowel movement. i have drastically increased my amount of fiber intake and it makes it easier to go, but the pain is still excruciating and i would almost say, unbearable (it really does make me want to kill myself). I have been inserting hydrocortisone suppositories once a day for the last 3 days (since i got them) before bedtime and when i awake in the morning, all feels a LITTLE better until i have another bowel movement… thats when it feels all flared up/inflamed again and im worried because it doesnt seem to be getting much better. After the last bowel movement i just had, it seems my hemorrhoid is no longer internal.. because i can feel the source of pain with my finger and its outside now thats why i put the "prolapsed" in quotations because it’s self-diagnosed and i may/may not be wrong Im not sure whether i should seek emergency care? the pain is so bad even when im not camping in the restroom and i dont know what else to do! ive been trying warm sitz baths, wiping with medicated preparation h wipes, using preparation h cream and suppositories after every bowel movement, taking tylenol for the pain, and inserting hydrocortisone suppositories each night before bedtime and it still hasnt gotten better. im literally sitting here researching right now, trying to decide if i should drive myself to the nearest hospital right now. helpful advice is greatly appreciated, thank you

Ok im a guy… and i think i have one… its kinda a bit purple on the tip of being inside and outside my hole… it burns and itches like crazy as if someone didnt wipe their ass after taing a shit… i am very clean… and shower often.. so that’s not it. i took a pic with my digital camera and its gross! What can i do to get rid of it? Can i use something over thje counter? i bought Hydrocortisone Plus with 12 moisturizers and aloe. Will that get rid of it? How are they caused? Me and my bf have alot of sex.. well not latey since the hemorrhoid developed over a week ago… its driving me crazy and hurts… i notice when i sit in the bathtub it relaxes me and eases the pain but later it comes back… HELP!!

I don’t want to go to the doctor yet. I want to try stuff I can buy at Walgreens/Target. What cream am I meant to get to shrink the hemorrhoid?

I already tried Vaseline and Hydrocortisone cream but they didn’t do much at all.

Help??!!

These symptoms developed after I went to bathroom. There was blood on stool and pain. I cleaned area. I still got symptoms right away. It’s happened before and I become unproductive. Any natural suggestions to clean blood? I have no insurance/not working now. Thanks,
6/23/09 update: Thank you very much for your answers. I am doing well today. here is what I did:

- I read more about my situation (not a lot of answers out there)
- Because my fever did not go over 103 F, I did not go to ER
- Had 8 oz glass of water with 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, 1/2 lime juice & honey.
- Cleaned affected area through a sitz bath
- Purchased Tuck’s medicated pads and applied one every 4 hours (I left each pad in place for 30 minutes)
- Had 2 Motrin, drunk lots of room temperature water/urinated a lot
- Placed wet towel on forehead and rested as much as possible
- Drunk Metamucil in water with food. Ate vegetables/chicken (little or no salt) & fruits
- If going to toilet, used Hydrocortisone in affected area before sitting. Used small stool to raise legs. Only go to toilet when you are ready.

Would hydrocortisone cream make my hemorrhoid go away? and what are the methods to get rid of prolapsed hemorrhoid?
