im 14 and a terrible chef so something like fruits or microwavable stuff or something i can just grab & goooo!

im doing this because of school. i need something to fill me up in mornings and hold me until lunch im really skinny so i eat and get full VERY quickly & then im hungry 2 hours later so i need a high fiber diet. also i dont eat after like 7 cause i go to bed at 10 on weekdays + if im full when i go to bed im not hungry for breakfast in the morning & i dont eat breakfast & then i get hungry as soon as i get to school and have to wait 4 hours to eat :/

so………….

1) what are good high-fiber foods (besides fruit & fiber bars)
2) What are excellent high fiber foods to bring to school & sneak to eat in class?
3) i <3 spagetti. is that high in fiber? lol…

P.S. – im not worried about calories soo u dont have to list things that have like 50 calories but nothing with like 900 calories either.. and it does have to be healthy..

Thanks for your advice Bugbee, I have seen a hematologist, and she took blood (5 vials of it in fact). She referred me to a doctor who performed a EGD, and Colonoscopy, and found Ulcers in Color Cecum, and Internal Hemorrhoids. He put me on high fiber diet, prep H, and sitz bath, which is nothing new. Before I saw the blood doctor, I started myself on iron supplement therpy, and the doctor said to continue it. I also started Vit "C" to help my body to absorde the iron. My primary care physician will be monotoring my blood count. The blood doctor did not seem to have many answers to my condition. I have been Anemic most of my life, but not to the degree now. Mostly I was told by doctors, my stomch produces too much acid, thus impeding the absorption of iron, and other Vitimins. The blood doctor said that I was at a point of needing a blood transfusion, but I do not take other peoples blood, so puts me in a questional situation. I also have or had 3d stage renal desease.

I was put on a high-fiber diet by my doctor to help ease symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I recently started eating fiber fortified cereal and yogurt, drinking fiber fortified slim fasts with my meals, and choosing high-fiber foods all around. It has been only a few days since I started this new form of eating, and I have been very gassy and I’ve had an upset stomach. Is this in any way related to my new diet, and if so, when can I expect my body to get used to the new diet I’m eating? Also… is a high fiber diet going to make me feel more satisfied after meals? I am a vegetarian and often find myself over eating snacks because my main courses are not filling enough.

I know the Atkins Diet works, but I could not stick to it. I am trying the high fiber diet, I should say eating 100% whole grains and high fiber veggies and beans.

I have Diabetes type 2. If I eat whole grains they are "high" in carbs so how can I lose weight. Whole grain foods and legumes are all high in carbs. They are also very high in calories. What is the benefit of eating healthy when I cannot lose weight eating all these carbs? I need to lose 40 pounds.

I am very confused as to what to eat. Is Atkins the best, of course for short-term. Are whole grains helping me lose weight? Should I do a low-calorie diet and of course low-carbs and no sugar. Nothing is working for me.

My Diabetes is under control and that is not the problem, losing weight is because I am not sure how to diet.

What about 1000 calories a day? That would eliminate meat with 0 carbs. How about salads, yogurt and whole grain bread?

I need to know what to eat to lose weight.
Good point. I would like to gain three years of my life having sex. So tell me, where do I find an old man my age. ha ha Thanks.

I eat an extremely high fiber diet– lots of fruits, veggies, whole-grains, nuts, and seeds. Every morning I eat a spoon of roasted flaxseeds. Sometimes I end up having to go to the bathroom (#2 that is) 3 times in one day (seriously!). I don’t know if this is healthy? I’ve read somewhere that too much fiber might move the food too quicky through your body for it to absorb the nutrients. Is this true? And using the bathroom that often is probably not so good, right?
