I normaly have a very high fiber diet (eating lots of vegetables, fruits and whole grain weats). This weekend I had guest and I ait a bit more than usually. I also had more salads and fresh food than I normally eat. I did not get costipation, and I think that I do my #2-s as normal 1-4 times a day, and maybe just slightly harder than usually, but nothing special.
This morning I had blood in my stool, light fresh blood, which was running a bit while I was cleaning up with toilet paper. Then it stoped. Second time I just did #1 in the toilet, and as I had some gas then, again some fresh blood calme out of my anus. I do not experience any pain, and a very very tiny itchy feeling…not even unconfortable.
I feel worried as I have never had similar thing in my life. Also do u think that too much fiber or too much food could cose this? Will it pass by itself or do I need to see my doctor?
Please help.
I am 34, absolutely healthy, mabye slightly owerwight…and have never suffered from constipation
I been on a high fiber diet for 4 months. I been noticing there has been a big change when I go to the bathroom. Very loose stool. Yesterday afternoon I went potty and I was in A LOT of pain. After about 2 hours of holding my stomach and trying to relieve my pressure and cramping I called 911. It was so bad that I could not walk or stand. They put me on morphine and it barley took the edge off. Pain lasted 8 hours and waking up today still have some cramps.
I asked them what I can do to prevent this from happening again. They told me "eat less healthy." I was baffled by that statement. I know there are products that help with gas like gas-x and bean-o. I don’t want to become an over the counter drug junkie. This diet up to this point has helped me a great deal to lose wight and increased my energy. What can I do?
I think I been over doing it with lentil beans. I been making lots of bean soups and eating that for lunch. I also eat egg white sandwich on whole wheat bread. I put some onions and peppers on it. Also been eating trail mix with almonds, seeds and raisins. Lot’s of salads brown rice lemon and garlic.
I found this quote
"A high fiber diet will help by redirecting fat soluble metabolites to the colon rather than bladder. "THC is eliminated primarily in the stool via bile acids. Both EMIT and RIA detect a secondary metabolite which is reabsorbed from the intestines. Thus a person with a high fiber diet will excrete a majority of THC [metabolites] in the stool" (anon1). A fiber-based laxitive will also help by binding bile-acids. Use caution. Fiber laxitives can alter one’s bowel schedule and lead to dependancy."
Is it true?
I’m on a new, healthy, high-fiber diet and I feel great after two or three days on the diet. My typical day’s meal consists of a large bowl of high-fiber cereal for breakfast, soup, assorted nuts, and natural popcorn for lunch with plain yogurt w/ granola for dessert. Then, for a mid-afternoon snack I may have a Yoplait whips or some cheese. Then, some whole wheat pasta with veggies and applesauce is a dinner favorite. I also drink about six glasses of water. But I always feel hungry, any tips on filling high-fiber foods? Thanks =)
i want a high fiber diet (: can someone list me some good tasting foods that DONT need to be cooked?
im 14 and a terrible chef so something like fruits or microwavable stuff or something i can just grab & goooo!

1) what are good high-fiber foods (besides fruit & fiber bars)
2) What are excellent high fiber foods to bring to school & sneak to eat in class?
3) i <3 spagetti. is that high in fiber? lol…
P.S. – im not worried about calories soo u dont have to list things that have like 50 calories but nothing with like 900 calories either.. and it does have to be healthy..
