I have a Hemorrhoid, for 7 years now (since birth of my first child) and at times it gets really swollen from using the restroom or doing heavy lifting…I would really love to get it completely removed cause i just hate it with a passion!! Would medicaid cover the cost of the surgery to remove the hemorrhoid? or would i have to pay out of pocket? How much does it cost

I hope someone out there can give me some advice/insight…
Approx 3.5 weeks ago (after some heavy lifting- moving furniture) I developed a very painful hemorrhoid, I experience some bleeding. After 4 days I went to the doctor (a dr i have never been too and would not prefer to go back to – did not seem to know what she was talking about). Based on a visual exam (pain was too intense to do any further exam) She told me that I was experiencing both hemorrhoids and anal fissures. She had to call in another dr (who did not examine me), he prescribed proctosol hc 2.5% and recommended stool softeners and sitz baths. A follow up appointment was not recommended or scheduled. It has been 12 days since that appointment- while I am much better than I was I am still experiencing moderate to severe pain 90% of the time. The problem felt like it was on my left side, over the last few days I have started to experience mild pain/discomfort on the left side of my vagina, my perineum also appears swollen and is somewhat tender. Deification has improved, it is not regular yet and pain is increased afterward.
Should I been 100% better at this point – is it normal to take nearly a month to recover from something like this or could there be something more serious going on? I have experienced hemorrhoids only once before – mild pain, went away in a few days. I am otherwise in good health and shape. I hope that someone as some legitimate advise – aside from "go back to the doctor"

i am 21 and going through my first case of hemorrhoids. i am totally confused from all my internet research mostly because of all the things they say causes a hemorrhoid, i havent done or had any of them….i.e. no heavy lifting, pregnancy, no constipation etc. i am really bummed about this because for me it is really painful! it started hurting the most on sunday so this morning (monday) i did a saltz bath twice. then i worked from 3 in the afternoon until 11 and im not kidding, but by the end of the night….starting around 8 i was waddling around my work because it was so awful. i did one more saltz bath when i got home and took a vicodin for the pain so i feel okay now….but im worried about work tomorrow because i will be at work for 8 and a half hours! i obviously cant do a saltz bath so id like to know 1) what i can do for the pain
2) how long will this horrid pain last
3) is this really normal? cause according to my reading, everybody has this…it just doesnt seem right

Kind of a pressing matter, basically I got a hemorrhoid earlier this morning (I do a lot of heavy lifting at work, I’m guessing this is the cause) and at a rather terrible time, my girlfriend’s prom is this weekend and I’m going >.<

I’ve had this before and letting it rest for a week or so made it pass, but I’ll be going to class at night for the next 3 nights and then on a bus for a whole day straight to make my way to my girlfriend’s college.

My question is: is there a quick remedy for hemorrhoids? If not, maybe something that will permit me to be a bit more active (Walking, sitting in different areas like cars and such), like, the equivalent of a band-aid I guess?
