I was put on a high-fiber diet by my doctor to help ease symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I recently started eating fiber fortified cereal and yogurt, drinking fiber fortified slim fasts with my meals, and choosing high-fiber foods all around. It has been only a few days since I started this new form of eating, and I have been very gassy and I’ve had an upset stomach. Is this in any way related to my new diet, and if so, when can I expect my body to get used to the new diet I’m eating? Also… is a high fiber diet going to make me feel more satisfied after meals? I am a vegetarian and often find myself over eating snacks because my main courses are not filling enough.
Ok, so I’ve done a lot of research to figure out what’s wrong and what is exactly going on in that region. I have figured out that I definitely have stage 3 internal prolapsed hemorrhoids.
I’ve had this for several years now, but I’ve only recently actually bothered to do something about it. (Actually, I lie, I went to a doctor once for this a while back, but she was so dismissive about it, and only prescribed a suppository that did NOTHING to alleviate the problem)
Also, recently (partially why I started looking up the information) I think I’ve developed a thrombosed hemorrhoid (stage 4). It was extremely painful at first, but after a few days the pain slowly went away to a dull ache when I touch it. It protrudes out, and unlike stage 3, I can’t push it back in.
Is there anyway, besides going to the doctor, that I can get rid of it? Are there any home remedies? (I’ve done research on it but most remedies seem to only focus mostly on external hemorrhoids)
I really want to get rid of this problem. It’s very painful and a topic that I can’t really explain to most people. Plz help
Ok i found out i have a external hemorrhoid, my doctor recommended some cream, and said its a ‘common thing’. I went to the chemist brought it and spoke to a staff there who said just use it for a few days.
I can still feel it there, it feels like i have no reassurance. what the hell do i do??
For a few days now, every time I make a bowel movement, I wipe and I see only blood. It looks like period blood. It’s not brown or exceptionally dark.
I feel no pain or sickness of any sort. Could it be hemorrhoids? I do have a tendency to strain unnecessarily during bowel movements, but something like this has never happened before.
If so(or not), what can I do to make myself stop bleeding?
Ok, so this is unfortunately going to be graphic and gross but I can’t help it. Sorry. Anyways, I still suffer horrible constipation and fairly heavy bleeding along with it. I drink water and flavored water (no sugar) and once in a while a hot tea but like I said it’s only once in a while. No matter how much I drink per day, I feel so dehydrated. The 1st time I went to the proctologist (can’t spell ), she made me a prescription for muralax and made it sound like I was to stay on it for the rest of my life. Well, I noticed after a week of taking it I had diarrhea coming on. So, as a result, I stopped for a few days but that was a huge mistake. My poops were hard, bloody and baseball size. (I know it’s nasty but I need ppl to help point me in the right direction). The doctors told me I have internal hemorrhoids but they’re "no big deal" and not in the way. Out of fear, I’ve decided on no more children if all I’m gonna do is suffer. I need to know if there is anyone in my shoes or have ever been in my shoes who could possibly help?
To top it all off- I have no one that can help me with baby. I have been on my own since he was born (6 months straight) with him only being babysat a few times and my husband can only help when he’s home. We can’t afford a babysitter either b/c I haven’t found a job yet to support the financial responsibility of having one.
