I’m 16 years old and I have external hemorrhoids. I got them from constipation because I don’t eat very well. They don’t ever hurt and are pretty small but I don’t like having them, it looks gross. They aren’t very big, I bought the Preparation H ointment yesterday, does that work well? I didn’t really know what to buy because I don’t need anything for relief as they don’t cause me any discomfort, I want something to shrink them.
Will I need surgery for my hemorrhoids to go away forever? Can they go away on their own if I start eating more fruits and vegetables? If so, how long can it take for them to be gone?
I’m 19 years old and I’ve only had one sexual partner. I haven’t been sexually active since December. Recently the area around my anus has been itching. I thought maybe it was irritated from shaving in that region but with further inspection I found a small bump near the opening of my anus. It’s flesh colored and smooth. I’ve been researching HPV online because I’m scared at the possibility of having anal warts but it doesn’t look like any of the pictures. My diet has been really poor lately and I am almost always constipated due to having to take prescribed pain relievers so I’m guessing and hoping that it’s hemorrhoids. However, can a hemorrhoid be a bump at the opening of the anus or does it have to hang out? The bump is just really itchy and so is the area surrounding it. It hasn’t bled but I’ve read that not all external hemorrhoids do. I would think that one would have to have anal sex in order to get anal warts but I could be wrong. Can someone please help me out and take an educated guess as to whats wrong with me? *note: I will be going to the doctor I would just like an opinion to help me sleep better tonight*
I started with Hemorrhoids on Fri. They were not to bad. I was in so much pain on Sat I ended up in ER. Was told they were external Hemorrhoids. Was ginen some pain med (try not to take them as I know they "plug you up". Tucks Prep H does not help me. I was having constant horibal pain. Sun and Mon was a little better each pain. On Tues I was just about pain free. Today I went #2 is was normal. And now I am back to exchrucating pain after going to the bathroom. The warm baths do not help. So I am assuming that they were almost healed back up and I just aggervated them when I went. How long till they fully heal. I am not sure how I will get through work Tommrow. Any suggestions and help would be apperachated.
I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I developed external hemorrhoids right at the very end of my pregnancy which i know is quite common. They did seem to disappear after childbirth but i have noticed that one large one seems to return each month during my menstral cycle. Its nearly 6 months since i gave birth and whilst i think its constantly there, I think it flares up more during my period.
I know my nan suffered really badly with Hemorrhoids so i’m not sure whether they can be hereditary? Should I be worried as I do bleed bright red blood from it sometimes? I’m abit embarrassed to go to the docs but not sure whether I should be really concerned that it hasn’t dissappeared by itself although i haven’t actually tried any creams on it or anything?
Any help or advice would be really grateful ~ Thanks!
I have had hemorrhoids in the past. They were always right on the pucker hole
sticking out a little.
Now I have one (a hard, inflamed area the size of a quarter) not on my pucker hole but about an inch to the left of it. Is this considered external hemorrhoids?
I don’t get much itching but the pain is nearly unbearable. My past hemorrhoids were also painful but not nearly as bad as this. I can barely make it through an 8 hour work day.
I have an order in to the wife for Mineral oil, Witch Hazel, and Rue Care oil. P-H doesn’t cut the mustard.
Anyway, am I accurate in my home diagnosis and am I taking the right stuff for it?
I do have insurance and have gone to the doc in the past. They basically can do nothing but prescribe something…unless you want surgery and I was told by that same doc it’s very painful and not recommended unless absolutely necessary. This is probably the first one I’ve had in 2 years.
