So, I was diagnosed with an internal hemorrhoid 8 years ago. I have been bothered on and off by them since. Within the past couple of years, I’ve had more itching and more discomfort when I go to the bathroom. Some days I’m fine and some days it’s more bothersome. About 5 months ago, I noticed a lump after I went to the bathroom, but probably within a half hour I could barely feel it. I now notice this lump right before I have to go and right after I go – it then subsides. Is this an external hemorrhoid or would this be considered internal? On rare occasion I do have bleeding after going. I have had no change in bowel habits. I’m 30 years old. I have an appointment next week with the doctor and I’m really nervous about it. Have you ever had this symptom with a hemorrhoid?

Okay I noticed this on someone (don’t even ask how), but what could this be??? It is near the anus but maybe 3 inches away from the opening. It is about the diameter of a quarter and hangs by a cord of skin a little thinner than a pencil. Seems painless but I didn’t want to ask…Does ANYONE have any idea what this thing could be??? The only thing I can think of is maybe an external hemorrhoid but it is further from the anal area and is not red…It is normal skin tone. Any ideas?

so, i noticed around my anus what appears to be an external hemorrhoid. its a little purple bulge, maybe about the size of a half pea sprouting out. But, it doesnt hurt, itch, or bleed.

If i were to assume it being a hemorrhoid, should i just spend a week drinking water and eating fiber to have softer poots? i really want to get back to anally masturbating but i dont want to hurt myself and make this thing worse.

I’ve had an external hemorrhoid for a couple of years…I’ve changed my diet long ago and it hasn’t bled or caused me any pain for at least a year. Butt it still itches. And it’s so unsexy.
What kind of a doctor do you see to get this removed? Regular PCP? Gynie? Dermatologist? And do they numb you first? Does insurance typically cover it?
