Ok this is gross, but two days ago I had extremely bloody stool (pale and bloody). It was so sickening to see and scared me. I mean there was a lot of blood, not just a little. A LOT. I felt some minor pain in my lower left abdomen all day. It is not an external hemorrhoid, that’s for sure. It could be an internal hemorrhoid; however, I do feel pain in the abdomen and internal hemorrhoids, I read, are painless.

Anyways, I don’t want to go to the doctor. Please DO NOT tell me to see a doctor because I won’t. If it’s just a hemorrhoid, I don’t need a doctor, but if it’s something serious, I won’t be able to handle it so I don’t want to know.

But now I am afraid to go to the bathroom again. Does anyone have any knowledge on the best way for me to manage this on my own?

BTW I am a vegetarian, I always eat lots of veggies and whole grains (fiber) I have been drinking lots of fluids. I have increased my fiber and fluid intake since the episode. Social drinker.

not sure if its okay to sit down cause it hurts. im already treating it, but is it normal for an external hemorrhoid to hurt when you sit? let alone okay to sit upright on the computer? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

My boyfriend just had to have an emergency surgery to remove a very large external hemorrhoid this morning. He was given some strong pain medication but it isn’t working. Is there anything to help relieve the pain? Obviously sitting is very painful and he says laying down hurts also.
Other than that–what are some things I could put together for a "care" basket? I don’t know what to do for him. I feel helpless and I know he’s in a lot of pain.

I am afraid. I tried pooping and blood was dripping out, so I stopped in the middle of it. I have to poop, and haven’t the last 4 days. But it hurts, and I am wondering. Will it cause more harm if I poop with an external hemorrhoid that bleeds ?

Don’t mean to sound gross but

I have a external hemorrhoid and I was going to poop and blood splattered everywhere. Do external hemorrhoids bleed or do I have a internal hemorrhoid.
