I got my first hemorrhoid today. It’s pea sized, hurts a little and is redish.
These past 10 days I have been at a music festival just about every day and have been on my feet getting more exercise than usual, my body was worn out and I started getting a sinus infection/lost my voice.
I didn’t notice anything unusual with my bathroom patterns however.
What do you think the cause of my hemorrhoid may be? and do you think it will get worse?
I google image searched pictures of hemorrhoids and some of them were gigantic and absoloutley disturbing, I am in tears afraid that I will develop something like that.
So I’ve seen my doctor twice about this problem. He checked my anus and confirmed I have hemorrhoid. It’s been going on for months now. He told me to "Eat fruits and vegetables and exercise"…
so for the past month and a half, I’ve been eating massive amounts of fruits and vegetables…
Even cut back on fast food (no pizza or burgers)…. avoided eating greasy foods too…
drink lots of water (no soda, not a fan of it)…. My stool is soft but it still hurts when I have a bowl movement. it even hurts walking after i have a bowel movement…
I walk at least a half mile to a mile everyday on campus, back and forth to classes… which sucks cuz it hurts ….
Well today, I had a bowel movement and went running and all that pressure when I ran caused my hemorrhoid to bleed….
Sigh, I don’t know what to do now. I’m listening to what the doctor said but its not helping since this hemorrhoid is "preventing" me from doing good exercise… I’m really getting tired of it because its been going on for so long…. I need some helpful advice guys… Thanks
By the way, im 22 and male if that matters.
My mom, my friend, and I have started a high in fiber diet. Yes, I understand that fiber makes you have more regular bowel movements and whatnot, but my stomach churns, growls, and i have more bowel movements than them. At least 4 and they get 2 or 3. I have a lot more gas as well.
1.) Why do i have more bowel movements and upset stomachs than them?
and
2.) Is there an alternative to this diet? Over the break, I have lost up to 10lbs with the fiber diet and regular exercise, but I don’t want to have gas and bowel movements like this when I get back to school. It’s not nice to have to hold in a fart for a whole day. lol
I have 25g of fiber a day, but no more than 30g.
Im a 15 year old female with no cancer running in my family exept prostate cancer (which obviously doesnt effect me). So i have a question, because my bowel movements have changed a lot in the past 3 weeks. I usually go every day but 3 weeks ago, i felt really constipated and didnt go in almost 6 days. Then, after that it hasnt really been the same. Ive had to push harder (sorry if im grossing you out) and i dont feel completely "empty" after i go. I am going every day again, but it also seems like i dont poop as much. I havent changed my eating habits lately either. On occasion, ill feel a dull pain in my abdomen area when im trying to poop. But its not that bad and it goes away after. I dont have blood in my stool or anything though. So from what i have read, those are signs of it. Im a little worried and i wanted to know what you think..? PLEASE dont say "go to the doctor" because i really would rather not until i know if im overreacting. So could you tell me what you think this possibly could be and if i should be worried? Thanks =]
Also, when i was in that constipated week, i threw up for no apparent reason out of nowhere.. i dont know if that has anything to do with it. Also, i eat pretty healthy and try to get 2 aerobics classes in every week plus running so i do get exercise
For about a year now, I have had these pains that seem to go from my lower abdomen to my rectum (all internal). But they are usually relieved when I have a bowel movement, which is sometimes hours later. I also have blood in my stool occasionally, but it’s bright red, so I’m thinking it may be hemorrhoids, but can those cause that abdominal pain? It’s like a wave of pain that intensifies then dies down, so not constant or sharp pain really…
yeah, i forgot to put in some of that extra info. I’m 19 years old, exercise fairly regularly, and am on a no caffeine diet, so no cokes, coffee, tea, etc.
