Here is the thing. About 2 months ago I went for a Rectal Ultrasound Exam. This is not the DRE(digital rectal exam) that is done by the use of an index finger with a lubricant. Some doctors refer to it as TRUS(trans-rectal ultrasound). The exam is done with an impelement called "Rectoscope" here is the picture of it: http://www.kolonrektum.com/images/rectoscope.jpg

I was sent there by a urologist, who thought a 22 year old could actually have something wrong with his prostate. Weirdly enough, I agreed since I didn’t know what I signed up for. The examiner assured me that no harm will be done. The exam took about 10-15 seconds, a bit painful but adjustable afterwards. The only problem was that the examiner never bothered to ask me about the presence of hemorrhoids. I didn’t tell him because back then I didn’t know it would be a problem . Anyway, when the exam was over, he to told me to clean up and go home. There weren’t any suggestions on how to make it through the day. The exam results turned out to be perfect NO prostate cancer NO swelling. But up until today, I have now inflamed hemorrhoids and my stools are always hard to pass. My proctologist is almost certain that the rectoscope has ruptured my anal area. And today when passing a stool my internal hemorrhoids popped out. It’s grey and not that hard, but it won’t go back in and it hurts. This is all thanks to that exam. The question is for those who took the same test and were the consequences such as mine???!!! I just went to the doctors because I was bleeding when I went to bathroom. I have one. The treatment sounds fun. NOT!

I don’t even know why I got one.

My granda is 82 years old and recently a lump has been found in his bowel. The doctors are continuing to do tests, they have done about 5 and still do not know whether it is cancer or not.

Apparantly there are things that make them think its cancer like the lump has went through the wall nearly and there are other things which make them think its not cancer.

He has just gotten e coli could this be a symptom of bowel cancer?
What are his chances please just be honest any comments will be appreciated.

I bought a teacup pomeranian about a month ago (I know that it was a bad decision on my part buying a teacup dog) however, ever since i’ve had him we had taken him to the vet about 7-8 times. The medical bills keep piling up because he’s not getting better. He had been treated for hypoglycemia and coccidiosis which one vet diagnosed him for, but now we’re giving him another medication for discomfort in his large intestines? Ever since I had my puppy (he was born on 3/16/08) he has been crying everytime he tries to poop, and sometimes it doesn’t even come out. We’ve been giving him this laxative for cats that the vet gave us, but he’s still not getting better and the doctors we’ve went to can’t seem to figure it out. His butthole is swollen, and he keeps tryin to poop every 20 mins, but only a small amount comes out. It’s not his anal glands, anal sacs, or anything like that. Please help me! I just want him to get better soon. His butt has been in discomfort for a whole month now!

i have had a change lately in bowel movements and stuff and i looked up bowel cancer becuase it was on TV and i had one of the sypmtoms. i went to the doctors about it and she gave me tablets for IBS spasms which kind of work i guess. these are the sypmtoms of bowel cancer and i’ll put a star* next to the sypmtoms i have.

Bleeding fromt he rectum* (only one tiny bit ONCE)
a change in your normal bowel habit (such as diarrhoea or constipation)*
unexplained weight loss
pain in the tummy (abdomen) or back passage*
a feeling of not having emptied your bowel properly after a bowel motion.
being sick (vomiting)
a bloated feeling

im so worried like mad !!! i dont get it becxause i eat really healthy and do plenty of exerisise and everything !!! and im only 14 !!!
i also looked up IBS and my sypmtoms also match that

is it likely that i have bowel cancer!!? ? ?
