Recently I have been experiencing trouble defecating, its not so much constipation as my stools come out soft but I am not going as often as I should even though my diet has not changed. My stool is thinner for some reason and occasionally there is a bit of bright red blood on tissue paper when wiping. I noticed this happened about a month ago but it resolved. Is it internal hemorrhoids, I have to add that I weightlift frequently and have heard that squats can cause hemmorhoids. There is also a feeling of pressure in my lower rectum, but it is not painful. I am scheduled for a check up this friday and hope its nothing serious. Should I be worried that it is cancer? BTW I am hispanic male, not obese nor diabetic and there is no history of colorectal cancer in my family, but there is a history of diabetes and heart disease.

How does one cure piles/ internal/external hemorrhoids without having to see a doctor? Has anyone had such a problem? Painful bowel movements? A vegetarian who is active and drinks plenty of water? It remains quiescent for a long time, then flares up all of a sudden and causes immense discomfort for weeks together.
Plz outline a DIET. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

My girlfriend was having rectal bleeding and went to the ER and they said it might be caused by internal hemorrhoids. we got into an argument because she doesnt really take care of her self that well health wise. she doesnt eat properly nor as often as she should and shes sick quite often. and she said that theres nothign she could have possibly done to prevent the bleedings. wouldnt treating your body right and eating the right diet have somewhat prevented it?

plz help because she is extremely stubborn, hardheaded and doesnt listen to anything i say…ever

I’ll start off by stating that I do not have IBS, at least I hope I don’t. This problem started about a month ago (July 25th) when I awoke one morning and felt like I had to have a bowel movement. My rectum felt very tight and full and almost constipated like. I didn’t think much of it and assumed the problem would rectify itself with time. It didn’t, and I simply assumed I was constipated. I was given a laxative which didn’t work, and was scheduled for a sigmoidoscopy. I refused to have the procedure carried out as I was almost positive nothing would be found. I’m 16 years old (male) and my diet isn’t very good but it’s not the worst by any means. I’ve never had any bowel problems previous (save for I was constipated once or twice as a toddler) to this and I’m baffled as to what it is. When the problem first started, my bowel movements seemed much smaller and the stool was smaller in size. This seems to have returned mostly to normal, except there appears to be a very small concentration of yellowish fluid when I wipe. I’m not positive on this though. The only time I have experienced pain is when I had a bowel movement which burned severely and also contained some of the yellowish fluid mentioned before. I did have a "finger test" done and the doctor said everything appeared normal.

The big thing is the general discomfort caused by the tightness/fullness in what I think is my rectum. Before, I felt I could ‘clench’ the muscle (sphincter ?) completely but now it feels like I cannot. I’ve turned my diet around (I understand dietary changes may take months before any effect is noticed) and I’m eating much better. Some aspects of the problem appear to be improving slightly but it’s difficult to tell as sometimes the problem is worse than at others.

Again, I noticed this overnight, literally. The onset was about as rapid as can be.
I hadn’t sustained any injuries prior to this

Any ideas here? Internal hemorrhoids? Growth in the rectum/anus?

It’s not a rubber glove, as the feeling was present before the test was done. I’ve also not been practising anal sex under any circumstances. I understand that there’s a VERY VERY small chance that it’s a malignant growth, I was just wondering if anybody know’s what this might be. It’s not interferring with my life at all, it would just be nice to know what’s the cause and if any possible cure is out there.

alright, so as you know, I have a somewhat small hemorrhoid. I think 1st or second degree, but I’m leaning on first since I do bleed when I "stool" . Now the doctor I went to gave me a prescription to Anusol-HC, a cream for hemorrhoid problems. He even said that it’s not that big of a deal and that it was healing on its own before he even prescribed me the meds. Now here’s the shitty part, I have to leave for overseas on tuesday, and im staying for a month and 4 days there. If my hemorrhoids haven’t healed till tuesday, how do I cope with them? I do not want surgery, everyone says that it’s the last line of defense, and I heard it hurts like hell after the morphine wears off, plus, I’ve heard that the stitches can rip. Right now I’m starting the new anti-hemorrhoid diet. You know, lots of grains, fruits, veggies, and water, plus that cream. I will also be taking that so called "sitz" bath, or salt-water bath. So will these things help me get rid of my external hemorrhoid? Time is obviously against me, because if it were up to me, I’d cancel that plane ticket in a second, but my siblings are making me go, so I really don’t have much of a choice. What I’m afraid of is that it’s gonna grow or get worse while I’m there. And healthcare there is certainly not the best, in that country. Nor do I trust it. So, how do I cope with this? So far, it’s small, and it hasn’t grown since I’ve developed it. I want to get rid of without surgery, even if it’s gonna come back again 40 years later, at least I can enjoy life till then without having worry on my head that it might turn into a surgery. I’m overweight, so this explains why I have this hemorrhoid. I need help fast, give me some suggestions. I will go to the clinic again as it’s just 2 feet away from me. The only thing I’d get right now is "stool softener" . Again, it’s external, just one small hemorrhoid, 1st degree, and doesn’t hurt during the daytime. It only stings a little when I "stool" and that comes out bloody. Thanks for your time.
