Even for the treatments that are less painful?
I will not see a doctor unless I can for sure be completely unconscious.
guys I’m so scared if I have to get surgery :’( my problem doesn’t seem to be clearing up even when I make changes with diet and lifestyle…
no its just that I want them to be completely gone and sometimes surgery is the only option.
thanks everyone for your advice!
I’ve had an external hemorrhoid for a couple of years…I’ve changed my diet long ago and it hasn’t bled or caused me any pain for at least a year. Butt it still itches. And it’s so unsexy.
What kind of a doctor do you see to get this removed? Regular PCP? Gynie? Dermatologist? And do they numb you first? Does insurance typically cover it?
Thanks for real replies. Being a grown-up sucks.
So here is the story so far. I am around 20 years old and since I was 16 or 17 I have slowly started to bleed in the rectum area. At first it was just minor bleeding with bright blood on the stool or dripping in the toilet. It began to get a lot worse and I went it and got a hemorrhoid removed. Two actually. Now what is going on is it is bleeding again and it is getting darker and darker. Also it gets sticky in a way. I have a great diet and i take care of myself. But recently I have noticed that it also happens more when I am active (playing soccer, sports etc). I played for my entire life until this started and now it just gets worse. Also when it happens my gut and lower back tends to hurt. It is not some minor bleeding either. It is more than I have bled from a scissor cut or even the back of a hammer in my leg (don’t ask). Give me some ideas and I can give more detail if needed. Thanks
i am 33 years old and had pancreatitis recently. when i went to the doc for abdominal pain, they did a quick rectal exam. the test was positive for blood. the weird thing is, there is no blood that I see when i pass a stool ever. for a few months before my pancreas acted up, i was constipated. this constipation thing is something that runs in my family, but no cancers. Some times i would have to push really hard to go. sometimes if i pushed too hard, i would see a little pink on the napkin. after my bout with pancreatitis, i change my diet to high fiber and low fats. i no longer drink or smoke. that has helped a lot and it is easier to go to the bath room. i have not seen the pink residue on the napkin since. it seems like i had some hemorrhoids. i am getting a ct scan of my abdoman in about a month to see what the cause of my pancreatits is. i have so much debt already. i really can’t afford anymore. I will get medical treatment as needed. but i really want to avoid unnessecary expences. my gastro doc even said the chances of me having something in my colon is slim to none. he is more concerned with me pancreas, than my rectum. of course they have to recommend it ifr there is blood in your stool.
I am glad for having this kind of website to at least express myself. If you don’t mind, I would like to share something about me. For two years, I’ve been using senokot forte for my constipation, and it really helps me a lot to avoid bleeding in my hemorrhoids(I have internal hemorrhoid). I am bothered to some of the comments of other people about using this laxative, some says it won’t kill me and it’s ok to continue using it.My doctor also tells me two years ago, that it would be okay for me to take it everyday. But some says, i might be overdose using it. As of now (for two years taking it until now), I don’t feel anything bad using it except my dependence to this laxative..
By the way, I exercise, drink a lot and watch for my diet now,I also take once a day 374 mg of senokot forte.
I really can’t help not to take senokot..Because many times I’ve tried and I end up bleeding and feeling pain in my anus. So, please tell me if it’s okay..If it’s not too late??Thank you..I really appreciate your response. ![]()
By the way, my doctor told me not to eat apples and bananas because it makes my stool hard. SO to soften I should try fiber-rich foods but i don’t find it effective without the help of my laxative T_T.
