OK I’m just going to run through the symptoms I’ve found out about what causes bowl cancer and you guys can see what you think. I’m worried there is something wrong with me and am EXTREMELY worried it could be this…

Bleeding from the back passage (rectum): None
Blood in your stools: I’m not sure exactly what it is but over the last 3 -4 days I have noticed some red bits in my stools.
A change in normal bowel habits towards diarrhoea or looser stools that lasts longer than 6 weeks: Yes, definitely to some extent. I do not suffer from diarrhoea but I would say I go the toilet more often nowadays and often feel full more quickly than normal.
A lump that your doctor can feel in the right side of your abdomen, or in your rectum: This is a strange one. I can feel a lump but its not obvious. I can only feel it when stood up and when I tense my stomach muscles. I only found it one day by chance.
A straining feeling in the rectum: Yes, often.
Losing Weight: No
Pain in Abdomen or Rectum: Very little, the occasional ache but generally nothing too severe.
Anaemia (a low level of red blood cells): No

I am 22 years old male and know that cancer of this kind is extremely rare in people of my age. I would say I have had the lump for about 6 months and the other symptoms about 6 weeks. I have suffered from no loss of appetite and generally feel well aside from the symptoms above. This make me feel that my problem could be pyschological but you never know.

Any help anybody could offer me is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Chris
Yes I think you are both right there. I don’t know I am probably being over sensitive about it. It’s a funny one really as these problems seem to bother me when I’m alone/bored etc, but when I’m out with friends or actually doing stuff the thoughts hardly cross my mind. I think I’m going to go to the doctor though, it seems the best solution

Ok, so for a month now I’ve been pretty liquid and inconsistent when producing stools. (Yay, such a happy topic.)
I’m just worrying if this extended period of diarrhoea is perhaps pertinent to a case of Bowel Cancer?
It’s my biggest, probably most irrational fear…
Still, if anyone could shed any light on the situation further than "Go see your doctor lololol", then I’d appreciate it.
No, no, it’s not that I don’t like going to the Doctor. I’m currently on Citalopram 20mg, so I have to keep going back every month and such, but I’m just wondering if it’s actually any kind of cause to go in the first place.

i have had a change lately in bowel movements and stuff and i looked up bowel cancer becuase it was on TV and i had one of the sypmtoms. i went to the doctors about it and she gave me tablets for IBS spasms which kind of work i guess. these are the sypmtoms of bowel cancer and i’ll put a star* next to the sypmtoms i have.

Bleeding fromt he rectum* (only one tiny bit ONCE)
a change in your normal bowel habit (such as diarrhoea or constipation)*
unexplained weight loss
pain in the tummy (abdomen) or back passage*
a feeling of not having emptied your bowel properly after a bowel motion.
being sick (vomiting)
a bloated feeling

im so worried like mad !!! i dont get it becxause i eat really healthy and do plenty of exerisise and everything !!! and im only 14 !!!
i also looked up IBS and my sypmtoms also match that

is it likely that i have bowel cancer!!? ? ?

thank you!!

i been having this change in Bowels all the time sometimes i have bad stomach aches and my bowels are always like diarrhoea and sometimes they are normal bowels then i always have constipation due to my irregular eating habits and always have lower backpains.i am quite worried it might be colon cancer as i have read the symptoms can someone enlighten me what this might be thks.

I have a borderline internal/external hemorrhoid, and it is driving me crazy.

It’s because I’m 30wks pregnant, and haven’t been able to be very active throughout my pregnancy. My diet is pretty good (not constipated or diarrhoea, regular) and I am getting more exercise – but it isn’t helping my immediate situation.

It seems to be too large to expect to go away on its own, or to reshape back to normal, but it keeps getting irritated and expanding, every time I think it is improving.

I don’t want to take it to the doc, but I am worrying that nipping it off with a rubber band might be the only option for one as big and stubborn as this.

I’ve had it 2 weeks and it is driving me spare.

Help what do I do!
