This is sort of embarrassing but here goes…
When I was around 11, I had a problem with constipation and I developed an external hemorrhoid. I never had it looked at by a doctor, because it’s never bothered me. Well, now I’m 17 and its still there. Recently it’s gotten a bit larger, I don’t know why. It’s still not bothering me, but I was just wondering if there is any chance it will go away on its own, or will I have to have it removed by a doctor? I’ve read that they can go away on their own with home treatments within a few weeks, but I’ve had it for 6 years and never treated it, so I don’t know…

I’ve been eating a lot of fiber recently (and I don’t normally eat a lot) and I’ve been experiencing constipation but no diarrhea. I’m trying to "clean out my system" and I’ve stayed home from school the past two days because of this.

Well, now I’m 17 and its still there. Yesterday it got a bit larger, because I guess I was slightly constipated. I asked this question last night, and someone told me I need to change how I eat and exercise more. I don’t think that’s the answer. I get plenty of fiber and I am at a normal weight. I have not had a problem with constipation in a long time, I only get constipated once in a great while, usually when I’m so busy and stressed that I don’t drink enough water.
Hi everyone, I have had a hemorrhoid for exactly one week now. I have been using prep-h wipes and cream. It has gotten smaller but not by a whole lot. It is very hard to have a bowell movement. It actually feels like the hole won’t open to let the stool out. I can kinda see the lower part of my stomach increasing in size since i haven’t went very much at all in the past few days. I started taking a fiber supplement, and a stool softener two days ago and they haven’t taken affect yet. The only thing that lets me pass the stool is if i insert a glycerine suppository. It work in like 15 min. but only a small amout of stool comes out. I know it cant be healthy to take the suppositorys everyday so what else can i do to beat this hemorrhoid and this horrible constipation??!!??
