I notice a little blood every time I pass stools. I noticed when I drank more water it seemed to stop but once I stopped drinking water it came back. I am 32 years old and have wondered what could cause this. I have heard it can be constipation or hemorrhoids or anal fissure or even cancer.

by the way what are the cures for external hemorrhoids in children? thanks.
i’m 12 (13 tomorrow) and when I was in the shower last night i washed my butt and i felt a bump. the night before my butt was really itchy, and i mean my anus. not inside or on the skin. last night it got itchy again after i got out of the shower so i told my mom and she gave me some cortisone cream. i put it on and it helped a little bit. i also have been VERY constipated lately, so constipated that whenever i bend over i can feel gas and poop. i can’t fart at all. the last time i pooped it hurt SO BAD when i was done, i couldn’t walk straight or anything. my mom says it’s hemorrhoids. i have had rectal bleeding and constipation for a long time but it hasn’t been serious and it goes away usually after i take a laxative. but recently it’s been soooo bad. i haven’t tried taking a laxative though. and i really don’t want to go to a doctor because i don’t want anybody poking around down there. my mom told me that she has hemorrhoids and that it is most likely genetic. but i’m reeeeally worried. i feel very slow and when i bend over i can practically feel built-up gas and feces poking me. also, i occasionally get sharp quick pains on my anus. i am really scared that it’s pinworms but i don’t think so because all of my signs point to external hemorrhoids.
what do you think?
(by the way i can still eat and stuff)
also the last time i pooped (about 2 days ago) i wiped and i saw this weird brownish red lump. it MIGHT have been poop with a little blood on it though. i’m kind of scared and i really don’t want to go to the doctor. i will probably have to anyways though, but do you have any advice other than going to the doctor?
james, i’m not a retard.
Melissa, i’m really scared of having a doctor look inside my butt. also, i don’t want them to tie off the hemorrhoids! it sounds like i have external and internal though. i sometimes find streaks of red on the toilet paper. but i’m a virgin so i’m not pregnant and i’m only like 95 lbs (but i have a bit of a beer belly)
i have been slacking off lately…i heard it could be caused by inactivity….i’m kind of scared.

I am glad for having this kind of website to at least express myself. If you don’t mind, I would like to share something about me. For two years, I’ve been using senokot forte for my constipation, and it really helps me a lot to avoid bleeding in my hemorrhoids(I have internal hemorrhoid). I am bothered to some of the comments of other people about using this laxative, some says it won’t kill me and it’s ok to continue using it.My doctor also tells me two years ago, that it would be okay for me to take it everyday. But some says, i might be overdose using it. As of now (for two years taking it until now), I don’t feel anything bad using it except my dependence to this laxative..
By the way, I exercise, drink a lot and watch for my diet now,I also take once a day 374 mg of senokot forte.
I really can’t help not to take senokot..Because many times I’ve tried and I end up bleeding and feeling pain in my anus. So, please tell me if it’s okay..If it’s not too late??Thank you..I really appreciate your response. :)
By the way, my doctor told me not to eat apples and bananas because it makes my stool hard. SO to soften I should try fiber-rich foods but i don’t find it effective without the help of my laxative T_T.

Bit of a long story. About five weeks ago I had a bout with stubborn constipation that started about two weeks before my period. I took Miralax for a while as well as Benefiber, and I’m 90% certain I’m finally back to normal. About a week ago I switched to Citrucel tablets, as they said it didn’t cause any gas. Since my constipation I had been experiencing increased gas and the sensation that I had to pass gas but couldn’t, which was centered in my lower back. It’s a feeling of uncomfortable pressure.

Unfortunately, this pressure sensation just doesn’t want to go away. I’m still taking Citrucel as I (A) get very little fiber in my diet and (B) was NEVER very regular and (C) have internal hemorrhoids from my constipation struggle (I strained, not realizing I shouldn’t).

I also switched to a new birth control pill (went from Seasonale to Lybrel, which lets you never have a period). I’m wondering if any of these things could be causing the problem? I feel pretty lost…it stinks.
It may be important to note that Lybrel contains lower amounts of hormones than the previous bc pill I was taking, Seasonale, and that I have experienced two incidents of spotting since I’ve started Lybrel. I’m also having on and off nausea which may be related to Lybrel, since that is a very common symptom.
Riiight. I did think of that. But its been, like, 3-4 weeks now.

yea so like many other men in the world, I’m one of the people who has hemorrhoids..I don’t suffer from it since they don’t hurt one bit or bleed..but it is a nuisance, and I can get colon cancer from them if I don’t do anything, right? What’s a good cure for hemorrhoids? This anusol cream my doctor prescribed me is only for painful hemorrhoids, that doesn’t really help them dissapear now does it? Surgery is an option since I live in Canada, and health care is free, but it’s really a last alternative..and from what I’ve heard, it’s not very pleasant after you go home for about 2 weeks or more…because if you damage that area by constipation..well you’re ******…I’ve heard about going the fiber diet path, is that going to make them dissapear over time? I’ve developed these sons o’ bitches since August this year..my doctor said they would fall off when I’d take a number 2…yea, that hasn’t happened yet since I’m not in extreme pain…I’ve heard about the rubberband procedure too, and that seems more doable for me..hows that work out? any long term pain or while the rubber is on? oh and please spammers, do not bombard me with the H-CURE links..that’s the next greatest con on the internet.. Thanks
