I’ve had ’stomach’ problems for over 2 years now. I went to the gastro specialist and was immediately admitted into the hospital. I had a colonoscopy and the doctor told me I had internal hemorrhoids, a hiatal hernia, gastritis and ulcertive colitis. He gave me medicine which did absolutely nothing. After suffering for several more months I went to another doctor who performed another colonoscopy. He came back saying nothing was wrong w/me but the blood I was seeing was from the hemorrhoids. I now am in pain daily. I constantly feel as if I need to use the bathroom but also feel my insides are so inflamed that nothing really can fit through. It hurts bad. I don’t know what to do and feel so helpless and hopeless right now.
More details I forgot. I feel constantly like I have to use the bathroom but it is VERY rare that I do. I feel almost like my insides are in knots or something so it’s not an easy passage way. I strain very hard, I can’t help it. Some of my ‘insides’ come out a little, just like an inch. It is VERY tender. I have adjusted my diet. I can’t really eat anything it feels like. I feel like I can’t eat solid foods. I know spicey foods, peppers, nuts, etc make it worse but nothing is good.
Also, I assume this is from straining but I get a migraine pretty much daily when ‘attempting’ to use the bathroom…
I had asked the doctor who did my colonoscopy this summer to remove it, but when I woke up he said that he didn’t because it was too small to bother with…..well, right now it has been bleeding off and on all afternoon - now what do I do?
I don’t have insurance, so its not like I can go run off to the doctors if this is something minor….
Is there anything that I can do?
For the last 3 years I’ve been suffering from regular bleeding episodes when going to the toilet. This may typically occur once every couple of months and last for about a week with bright red blood filling the bowel! As I am currently in remission from an unrelated rare form of cancer, every symptom I experience is always a bit of a concern. I’ve had a colonoscopy some 12-months ago and all was clear, been to the GP on a number of occasions and his conclusion was hemorrhoids which I can try using ointment, live with it or consider surgery! Regular checks with my oncologist seem to present with no cancer related issues, but I still get quite alarmed and concerned when I see a blood stained toilet bowel! Any knowledgeable and educated opinions would be appreciated.
I just got a colonoscopy today and all the results were normal. It showed a normal study but it also mentioned Internal Hemorrhoids. Can somebody explain me what does this mean? Do i need to watch out for something? I am just 21 so I don’t want to have any problems in the future… Thanks for your help!
it? and when you got a colonoscopy or they did did it show negative for awhile until you finaly you finaly had a positive result that you had a mass? Why are colonoscopys not that reliable when looking for cancer for a person under 40?So I am curious to know if you had bowel cancer or got it and you kept getting a normal reading for awhile until you got your diagnosis. Please your answers will help me. Thank you very much.
