I am 7 1/2 weeks pregnant. After I delivered my first baby I got internal hemorrhoids. I had a colonoscopy and that is what they told me it was. I was told there was pretty much nothing I could do about it but exercise, eat lots of fiber, and try not to get constipated. I was doing a whole lot better in the past 3 months or so after almost 8 months of having them. Then I got pregnant again and when I go number 2 I have blood in the toilet and on the paper. I am scared even though I know a doctor told me it was internal hemorrhoids. Is there anything I can do while pregnant to help ease them to help with the blood? I am not really constipated…I go everyday its just not very easy. Will exercise and eating still help or is there something else?

for a few year’s now i assumed i had irritable bowel syndrome as occasionally when i go to the toilet it can be very painful but the pain goes after i relieve myself but a few week’s ago it happened again but this time it was very painful and i passed quite alot of blood, sometimes it was just blood and sometimes when i went to the toilet. for a week i felt very tired, breathless i was told this was due to the blood i lost. but 3wks later i’m having alot of back and abdominal pain in my lower left, i feel very bloated after i eat and find that i can’t eat as much as i used too. i feel run down. i’m very scared that it might be bowel cancer? i’m due to have a colonoscopy soon but wondered if anyone could help me, maybe someone that is going through the same thing? my blood levels are fine and the stool test came back negative. could it still be cancer???? PLS HELP. thank you :0)

Hi,
After a one-off blood in stool occurrence, being hypochondriac, I sat for a colonoscopy and was diagnosed with "Internal Grade 1 hemorrhoids".

The doctor prescribed some suppositories and a Fiber supplement. He also advised me to follow ad high fiber diet and drink 8 glasses of water per day.

Since it is internal and grade 1, it does not hurt.
I need to know, if this is something that sticks for life, or if it can be 100% cured to never come back provided that I follow my doctor’s advise…

Please share your answer / experience. Try not to copy/paste from websites explaining what Hemorrhoids are, I have read them all.
My preferred source for an answer would be a doctor or someone who’s had the same or similar experience.

Thank you.

I had sex on thursday and he went in me, but im on birth control, and a few hours afterwards I started getting a sharp pain below my belly button. And then it went away, I woke up at about 4 in the morning with these pains except they were extremely severe and I felt like I was going to throw up, I could hardly walk, I thought I had to use the bathroom, so I did. But the pains continued on for about an hour, and then I layed on my stomach with one leg bent up and the pain started fading away. What could this be?

Also, I recently had a colonoscopy, and all they found were internal hemorrhoids, so I dont think its to do with the bowel or colon.
Def. not an STD. I have only been with one partner and I am the only person he has ever been with…with everything!

The colonoscopy was at the end of July, so it wouldn’t still be from that…

Yesterday I went number one and bled a lot rectally. I have had bleeding before but it was on stool or very little. This was enough to even drip excessively when I stood up. In the past they’d do a colonoscopy and with the light blood determined I just had internal hemorrhoids. After yesterdays amount of blood I was scared enough to go to er. Without even a thorough check up told me I have internal hemorrhoids and sent me on my way! I feel they just wanted rid of me! From what I know white discharge and the red which looks like lining of some sort is not connected with internal hemorrhoids! The fact ulcertive colitis and crohns disease runs in my family doesn’t make me any more comfortable either. Am I wrong? Should I be satisfied with internal hemorrhoids or get another opinion?
