I have a prolapsed internal hemorrhoid and plan to see a Dr. soon about it but was curious what the difference is? The description I have read online sound the same except one is from external and the other is from internal hemmies. Thanks!

Also, about a year ago my hemm. gave me a few days of moderate pain and bleeding. What caused this? Did it burst or something. I didn’t think anything of it except that I wanted relief from the pain but I let it heal on it’s own. Thanks!

The bleeding starts anywhere from a half hour to a day and it is as if an internal hemorrhoid has burst. (That is what I always assumed it was, but never really understood why it could be related.) I also don’t know if this info is useful, but I have never had anal intercourse.

I suggested she take a warm bath with some salt. This has been going on for days now! I think her hem burst and it’s irritated. Good advice or help would be appreciated. If it persists she should see a doctor? Also told her she needs more fiber and water in her diet. She is 53.
