OK I have a HUGE dilemma! A few days ago, friday, my silkie had a prolapsed vent. The egg was actually hanging out with a membrane wrapped around it and it looked like a testicle hanging there. She had laid her normal egg and this was a second one that she normally doesnt lay till 25 hours later. The egg wasnt any bigger then the first, but it had a much thinner shell and was kinda spotted. I DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO DO! So i got on line and i read where you could make a small incision in the membrane with a sterile razor blade to get the egg out and put some hemorrhoid cream on it to shrink the membrane back in. Of course i washed off the area best i could and tried to keep it all as sterile as possible. The vent bulge did go down a little but not all the way. i separated her from my other silkies in a large cage and gave her some food and water. She ate and drank a little, but the next day i noticed there was alot of pee and poop on the bulging vent, so i didnt give her any food for one day and a half ( thinking that maybe that would help with the poop not getting on her so much, im not wanting to starve her or hurt her in any way, so please dont think that), but still gave her water and cleaned the area best i could and reapplied the cream. I know shes was stressed with the situation so i pretty much left her a lone yesterday and gave her food ( not her normal chicken feed though) and water which she ate. I had read to give her just scratch which i did. The scratch i use i a mixture if different seeds, not just corn. Her vent is still bulging a little, better then what it was, but now there is more poop and pee all over her butt. So this evening im going to get a bucket of warm water and wash her butt off good and reapply the cream. Oh and she hasnt laid an egg since this happened so i dont know if that second egg was "sundays" egg and she wont lay till tomorrow. I was also going to see what happens when she lays her egg, if her vent will be "ok". Im stressing over this cause im at a loss… I have chicken books but none of them tell me what to actually do for this. So heres my questions…. Do chickens survive this kind of thing and what is the "normal" time does it take to heal?….What should i look for if there is an infection inside her?…Could this situation possibly force her into "molting"?( a chicken farmer said that might help her, but i dont have a pure dark place to keep her for a couple days, and that was all the advice he could give me)… What has anyone else done in this situation and would you recommend anything else? Am i doing the right thing?

Please know that I am NOT wanting her to suffer in any way and if she must be put down then, even though i hate the thought of losing her, i would do it. I am not in ANY way trying to be cruel to her or harm her. And I get NO PLEASURE out of this. I just want to do whats best for her, so please help me help her. so, i noticed around my anus what appears to be an external hemorrhoid. its a little purple bulge, maybe about the size of a half pea sprouting out. But, it doesnt hurt, itch, or bleed.

If i were to assume it being a hemorrhoid, should i just spend a week drinking water and eating fiber to have softer poots? i really want to get back to anally masturbating but i dont want to hurt myself and make this thing worse.

I have had what I believe to be an external hemorrhoid for 4 days now. What I see is a purple bulge about the size of a pea on my anus. I don’t feel any pain nor am I experiencing any bleeding. I do however feel something when I tighten my sphincter. The bulge is deffinately PURPLE and pretty hard. It feels like a solid mass. I was told that because it is purple, it MUST be thrombossed. However, I’ve read that thrombossed hemorrhoids are extremely painfuly. Mine is not. Is it thrombossed or just a regular external hemorrhoid? Either way, how long will it take to heal? So far I have been using witch hazel and Preperation-H. Is there anything to make it go away ASAP? I really don’t need anyone to tell me the deffination of hemorrhoids, because believe me I have checked every site online. Please just answer if it’s thrombossed or not. Thanks!!!! Can you tell it’s my first hemorrhoid? LOL Grateful to anyone who answers XD
Or do hemorrhoids ever go away at all? I’ve read some disturbing posts saying they are permenant. Is that true?

Hey guys. I think ive gotten hemorrhoid yesterday as i feel a slight bulge on my anus. Im really worried as ive read around that the only solution to hemorrhoid is surgery. I know my mother also has hemorrhoid but its been a while and she still hasnt had surgery.(i dont want to tell my parents as its quite embarrassing). Are there any ways to cure the hemorrhoid? (eliminate the swelling) thanks

when i went to the bathroom i had blood on the toilet paper and in the toilet bowl after the bowel movement. this happened friday night after a night of drinking (beer only). and it happen today again but not as bad as friday night. i havent done nything to treat this other than drinking more water and trying to get more fiber in…

tonight i stuck my finger in a little bit (my butt) and i felt something. i dont now how to explain it but i guess it felt a bulge. and there was blood on my finger. could this be a bulge vein or fisure? i do a lot of sitting during the day and i heard thats not good for this. i also intake caffeine during the day and sometimes a lot. and a few beers during the week….

what should i do to treat this? i know goin to a doctor is the easy answer but i want to try to treat this b4 going. i had this happen earlier in the year and it cleared up iin a week…. i believe this to be internal hemroids. are there any oinments to buy at the drug store
