bowel cancer is common place in my family history ,i recently lost my mom to which i believe was the culprit too,for the past few years i have been getting abdominal pain and a bloating feeling as well as feeling tired all the time ,i am currently taking the mini pill for contraception at the moment as well as to deal with the period problems i get i am 39 this year any information which may be of help would be appreciated.
My grandfather is 80 years old and has bowel cancer. He has had radiotherapy treatment and has recently got news that the tumor has shrunk, but not gone. What does this mean? The doctors have said there is nothing else they can do but if anything else comes up, that he must go back to them and they’ll re-examine the situation. Will they be able to do anything else if it gets worse? What are the chances of it getting worse? Is there a chance the tumor will continue to shrink and will disappear? Can you give me some more information on this? Thanks a lot. Any help is appreciated.
how rare is bowel cancer in children ages 3-16?
im 13 years old and my dad died of bowel cancer when he was 33 years of age. my mom doesn’t talk to me about it much and i don’t know if it was genetical. he always ate healthily and had a healthy lifestyle so i think it might have been. is there a bigger chance that i can get it now? i also heard that this kind of stuff usually skips a generation so if i get kids would they be at high risk of getting it?
FIRST THING NO NASTY COMMENTS! IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY PLEASE LEAVE.
today i found out my grandmother has bowel cancer, she let it slip at my son’s birthday party, terrible timing because ended up whole family was in tears while we were getting ready to go home, anyways i dunno what to do but that’s not why i am here i know its shock that’s causing me to feel helpless but i’ll survive, I used to be a medical student but had to give it up hoping to go back to it, was wondering if anyone knew if there was any way i could physically help my grandmother, she’s only in her 60’s and i want her to have a shot i know with some cancers you can use blood cells and such to help treat the cancer, i was wondering if anyone knew if this was possible with bowel cancer, i am the only person in my whole family with the same blood type as my grandmother, the scary thing is only three people in my family have the same blood type, Me, My dad and My Grandmother, my father and grandmother both have cancer, my dad’s in incurable but he is unlikely to die anytime soon, but i know bowel cancer is SO much worse, i am wondering if there is any way that i might be able to help her from a donation of cells or something?
any help would be great.
