I think I need to visit a doctor or consult someone or something. Really panicking the more I think about it, but I think I’ve had a hemorrhoid problem for almost half a year now, and I’m terrified that it’s getting worse or will get worse or might be irreversible or might cause irreversible damage etc. Pretty average freak-out stuff.

Anyway, I’m 20 years old and have no insurance and very little money, any idea how much it could cost out of pocket?

Also, if anyone knows, any idea how long the treatment might take/last?

I’m really worried, I’ve changed my diet and am starting to exercise more but I’ve had it for almost six months, I think, so I don’t think it’s going to just go away. I could have misdiagnosed myself, also, seeing as I’m no doctor… but that’s why I want to get professional consult before I panic even more.

Any ideas/help/suggestions?

I don’t think I can hold out until Obamacare kicks in =P
Edit: symptoms, I guess. A little graphic.
Some small amount of blood, general discomfort when going to the bathroom, it feels like it’s harder to actually get the stuff out the door, so to speak, and when I wipe I feel like I have to push it all back in, as disgusting as that sounds.
There was a time when I simply could not go to the bathroom. That was the most panicked I’ve ever been. I pushed and nothing would come out, as if it was all being blocked halfway. An hour or so later I managed to finish my BM and I’ve been somewhat fine ever since.

The last parts are what have me so worried, I’m afraid that that has progressed beyond a simple hemorrhoid issue, but I really don’t know if I can afford to see a doctor…

Hello, I’m 17 years old and I’ve got a pretty terrible anxiety disorder so I’ve been panicking about this for literally half a month and it’s terrible.

Anyway, almost 3 weeks ago I started to notice reoccuring blood in the toilet after a BM.
A noticeable amount of blood, almost making all the water in the toilet a brightish red.
It went on for 7 days before I finally told my mom, and she took me to the family doctor.

He took a look and said there’s an inflamed bleeding hemorrhoid and a small tear or crack or whatever and he prescribed me to this cream (which is very disgusting to apply..)
He knew how long it had been happening, and that it had been happening after EVERY bowel movement and he said I’d be fine.

Is he right?
It’s been 8 days since I was given the cream, I use it twice a day as recommended.
One day the bleeding was gone all together, just one, I also happened to have diarreha that day could that effect it? Then the next day the bleeding was back!

Should I be worried at all? Should I keep taking the cream and not worry?
I’m so scared that it’s something else..

Thanks guys.
Thanks Cookie, yeah I actually am scared it’s colon cancer or something.. and it’s really scary. I know it’s most likely in my head but I came here for some sort of reassurance to tell me this is pretty normal.

I think I’ll wait another 10 days, and drink a lot of water, and ask my mom if I can use 3 of her fibre pills every day and I’m hoping it’ll clear up..

I could still use some more input, the more the better!

male masturbation can it cause hard external hemorrhoids I have been masturbating 3 times per day after bm’s for 30 years. This is not constipation or lose bowel movemnets they are soft and easy

My hemorrhids do not itch, bleed, or cause pain, they just cause discomfort and make it hard to have a bm.

They only come out of my anus when I go #2 then they go back in.

they feel like little balloons, and from what I’ve seen on the net was that Rue Care Oil and Proctosol HC have been helpful for people, but what would be best for me, remember mine are internal.

Also if anybody can tell me if "hem-relief" cured their hemorrhiods that would be good too.

I had an EXTREMELY painful fissure about 2 months ago. I went to the doctor and he described it as an anal fissure with a thrombosed hemorrhoid.

After a week of treatment with nefedepine ointment, hot sitz baths and stool softeners.. I was feeling MUCH better. Within 3 weeks it was no longer a problem.

Well, this time around… I had tried to pass somewhat of a large stool [sorry for the t.m.i] and began to have the symptoms again; the swelling between the anus and the vagina, the pain after a bowel movement and the discomfort. It has lasted almost 2 weeks and is not getting better or worse… it seems like it gets a little better and then is painful again after a BM.

Any insight to what might be going on or what I should do?

Did I tear the fissure again?
