My boyfriend claims with extreme confidence that there is a muscle there (about 6-8in inside) and that pornstars are able to let things through (in reverse) during anal intercourse. I took an anatomy course though and don’t recall any such muscle….all that I know about are the internal and external anal sphincters, but those are both near the anus, not deep inside. Who’s correct, me or him?

I found a large "lump" that’s been causing extreme discomfort when walking. It looks like a raised area similar to cystic acne and it is near the anus. I looked up symptoms and they match the descriptions and symptoms, and I need some good tricks to help relieve it. It’s external and the pain is relieved when I sit, but movement irritates it. Is it a hemorrhoid?

I have been on some herbal medicine for a month or so to clear mucous in the stool. This lead to piles and then I stopped taking the herbal (Ayurvedic medicine). During that time I had fever and I took some alopathy medicine to clear the mucous. But after taking this medicine I had anal fissure. I stopped taking alopathy medicine also and took homeopathy medicine to treat my anal fissure. But still my anus was bleeding so the doctor prescribed a laxative so that stool may be soft. The anal fissure stopped bleeding but now I am suffering from watery stool (6 - 7 times a day), blood clots in stool and pain in anus. I would request only professionals to answer my question as they may understand my problem and suggest some remedy.

Last August I started getting blood spots on the toilet paper after a bowel movement. Upon finding this I immediately went to the doctors. The doctor referred me to a specialist. The specialist performed a Ridgid Sigmoidoscopy and said he seen two 2nd degree internal piles. I demanded further tests, however, and he booked me in for Flexible Sigmoidoscopy.

A few weeks later I had the Flexible Sigmoidoscopy and the surgeon performing it told me my sigmoid colon was fine, and the biopsies came back fine. He said he seen no piles, however. He claimed that the bleeding probably came from an anal fissure.

I have no pain during a bowel movement, only occasionally a burning sensation. As odd as it sounds, I felt around the anus after a bowel movement and felt a lump slightly protruding from my rectum, so i push it back in. A small amout of blood was on my finger. The blood is bright red and I have had a streak or two on the actual stool.

I have taken up bodybuilding again recently, and consume 30-40g of fiber a day. My stools are much larger than before I started this, and bleeding has worsened.

Is this piles, or something more serious?

Okay so basically, for a while after having a bowel movement there would always be a little bit of blood that would appear on the toilet paper, and I always thought it was hemorrhoids because I did my research on it.

Anyways, I didn’t want to go to the doctor because I was to embarrassed, and today I got out of the shower, and I felt this really weird uncomfortable feeling.
I checked and I saw that a bubble has formed right near my anus.

It doesn’t really hurt but it DOES feel uncomfortable.
I was just wondering, what kind of hemorrhoids is it, and what kind of treatment can I buy over the counter?
