I recently had a baby and five weeks later and having extreme anal pain. My ob/gym didn’t see anything on an external exam, but I am in terrible pain around the clock for the last three days, bleeding with bowel movements and crazy itching that doesn’t go away and having hot flashes, etc. What kind of specialist do I make an appointment with? Any tips on resolutions?

Hi. I just asked a question about my thorbbing anal pain in the right side of my anal area that worsened when i bent forward or coughed etc., and most people said it was a hemeroid or piles. Is this serious? Right now I cannot feel anything down there when I press the area with my fingers. I get no extra discomfort and I don’t feel a lump or anything. It’s only from like "pressure" or bending forward and such. Are hemeroids a big deal? Do I sound like I’m in the early stages? Could someone please give me an explanation on this. Websites haven’t been TOO helpful for me. Thanks alot.

Have been suffering pretty bad anal pain since my last bowel movement yesterday when there was blood in the toilet bowel. This is a fairly common occurence and I always assume is because i have piles & suffer from IBS. However though i have had some pain before after bleeding (not every bowel movement brings blood, usually only when having bad IBS) it has never lasted more than a few hours. The paini is driving me mad this time though, couold it be internal piles, or a fissure?
