a few months ago i started getting really sharp pains in my anus whenever i passed a bowl movement and then i’d have a really itchy anus afterwards but only for a while. i googled my symptoms and decided to buy anusol hemorrhoid cream as it was either piles or an anal fissure. i also bought fiber supplements because i knew i didnt get enough fiber in my diet. the cream gave the itching and pain instant relief and eventually i got better (or atleast i thought i had done). i stopped taking the fiber tablets cause i kept forgetting and stopped using the cream. now, a few weeks ago, after every bowel movement ive been having uncontrollable itching down there, so bad that i can’t sleep and i try hard not to itch as i heard it made it worse but i just cant help it! i started using the cream again and if anything it just makes it worse! i get no relief from it anymore! and the sharp pain has also come back when im passing stools! the itching is so bad i don’t know what to do. also there appears to be little white bumps around and near my anus but i dont know whether they have anything to do with it. i don’t want to go to the doctors that would be a last resort, and i certainly do not want to have surgery! someone help me please

I just started using Preparation H but my itching is still horrible and its causing me to lose sleep. I went to the hospital on friday and the doctor said I had an anal fissure as well as hemorrhoids, so I need something that will take away the pain from the itching of my hemorrhoids, I know it sounds disgusting but I really do need help if anyone has been in this position please feel free to comment

I have been having trouble for a while with piles, well i thought it was an anal fissure, but i went to the doctors today and discovered its wasn’t. It was piles, my doctor gave me a laxitive, that i am going to start using tomorrow and told me to drink lots of water. However i got home tonight and went to the toilet, i again strained with a bowel movement, looked into the toilet, and there was lots of blood. That has never happend before only blood on the toilet tissue. I am getting pretty scared, as i have never had anything like this before. Does this amount of bleeding mean it is healing or not :O Shall i contact my doctor, tell her it has got worse? Or should i do what she told me and if the laxitive doesnt work go back? paranoid here !! Please help!

About four months ago, after a passing a hard stool, I noticed a little speck of blood on the toilet paper, and thought nothing of it. Since then, I’ve noticed a little more blood, and last week there was blood dripping into the toilet, and also some on the paper after an extremely large, hard stool. I can’t say whether it was a lot of blood or not, as I’ve heard that when the blood reacts with water it can look like a lot when it actually isn’t. I researched deeper into this and discovered I could either have an anal fissure or an internal hemorrhoid. I informed my mum about it, and thankfully she knew what hemorrhoids were and suggested some food and drink I should start consuming.

I’m still pretty scared after discovering the blood, but I was wondering, does this sound like an anal fissure or an internal hemorrhoid? I’ve read symptoms of hemorrhoids include itching and/or burning around the anal area, pain, and discomfort, but the only pain I’ve experienced is when I’m passing an extremely large, hard stool, and it stings during and a couple of minutes after it’s passed. To me, this sounds more like an anal fissure, but I’m not sure. What do you think?
