I got a colonoscopy done on friday. All results were normal and no biopsies were taken. The only thing my doctor noted was that I have internal hemorrhoids. My stools have finally begin to solid up and i noticed that they look gray in color. This is worrying me and i was not sure if this was normal after a colonoscopy and if it would go back to normal? I also started taking 1000mg of vitamin C three nights a go. I’m not sure if that could cause it either. But I am worried and not sure if this is something I should contact my doctor about. Has anyone else experienced this?

For further information, I am 22 years old. I have had a pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound done they both came back normal. I also had an endoscopy done and I have a hiatal hernia. I also had ultrasounds done on my gall bladder a few months back and that all checked out normal.

OK I’m just going to run through the symptoms I’ve found out about what causes bowl cancer and you guys can see what you think. I’m worried there is something wrong with me and am EXTREMELY worried it could be this…

Bleeding from the back passage (rectum): None
Blood in your stools: I’m not sure exactly what it is but over the last 3 -4 days I have noticed some red bits in my stools.
A change in normal bowel habits towards diarrhoea or looser stools that lasts longer than 6 weeks: Yes, definitely to some extent. I do not suffer from diarrhoea but I would say I go the toilet more often nowadays and often feel full more quickly than normal.
A lump that your doctor can feel in the right side of your abdomen, or in your rectum: This is a strange one. I can feel a lump but its not obvious. I can only feel it when stood up and when I tense my stomach muscles. I only found it one day by chance.
A straining feeling in the rectum: Yes, often.
Losing Weight: No
Pain in Abdomen or Rectum: Very little, the occasional ache but generally nothing too severe.
Anaemia (a low level of red blood cells): No

I am 22 years old male and know that cancer of this kind is extremely rare in people of my age. I would say I have had the lump for about 6 months and the other symptoms about 6 weeks. I have suffered from no loss of appetite and generally feel well aside from the symptoms above. This make me feel that my problem could be pyschological but you never know.

Any help anybody could offer me is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Chris
Yes I think you are both right there. I don’t know I am probably being over sensitive about it. It’s a funny one really as these problems seem to bother me when I’m alone/bored etc, but when I’m out with friends or actually doing stuff the thoughts hardly cross my mind. I think I’m going to go to the doctor though, it seems the best solution

I’ve had hemorrhoid since a was a kid, I had big constipation and thought it was normal.
Now I have 22 years and I didn’t had any problems till about a month ago… I’m almost sure I have an anal fissure cause every time I go to the bathroom it hurts a lot and I bleed sporadically. I go to the bathroom everyday or every two days max, but when I go I have to sit there for at least 15 mins because I have to go but it’s so difficult to just go, I don’t even know how to explain. I’ve tried natural laxatives but it still hurts and it gives me cramps so I try to avoid them. It hurts even when I don’t have constipation and the stools are not hard. I’ve tried hemorrhoidal ointment but even that little tube hurts…
I don’t know what else to do, I’ve been avoiding going to the doctor cause I’m scared that he’ll send me to surgery or something… I would do anything that’s in my hands to avoid a surgery. I’ve been thinking to starve myself till my fissures and hemorrhoids get better. I’m already vegetarian and I try to eat as healthy as I can and drink lots of water.
Is there any other natural treatment that I can try?
Please help.

I am bleeding from my hemorrhoids, it`s pretty bad at times, can this be bad and what do you suggest. I have suffered from them since I had my first child 22 years ago. They don`t bleed often but this past week they have.

I am 22 years old, and i believe I i have prolapsed internal hemorrhoids because i see it sticking out of my anus. I bleed on wiping during stools. My physician appointment is next week but I really want to do something about it until then. I have fixed my diet for the last 2 weeks now to include plenty of fiber and water and my stools are are the right consistency now but the blood has not stopped. So i was wondering, how can i get rid of this problem?
