I may have hemorrhoids. I tried to feel for them, and I think it’s a lump of an external hemorrhoid. I never really check, because it could just be how my body is made, but I think it’s a hemorrhoid.

I don’t go to the bathroom a lot, but when I do, it causes some pain. I thought it was just my diet due to the stress in school, and the junk I’ve been eating for Christmas.

I’ve had this problem for a good 5 days. I thought I had this before, because it went away in one day. Only on the first time I wipe I get blood, and after that, there is nothing.

I didn’t bring this up until now. I’m only 19 years old. I’m going on vacation soon, and I’m really worried that it will get much worse on vacation.

My mom may buy me some cream before I go, but I hear eating high fibre, and drinking water helps. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks!

Here is the thing. About 2 months ago I went for a Rectal Ultrasound Exam. This is not the DRE(digital rectal exam) that is done by the use of an index finger with a lubricant. Some doctors refer to it as TRUS(trans-rectal ultrasound). The exam is done with an impelement called "Rectoscope" here is the picture of it: http://www.kolonrektum.com/images/rectoscope.jpg

I was sent there by a urologist, who thought a 22 year old could actually have something wrong with his prostate. Weirdly enough, I agreed since I didn’t know what I signed up for. The examiner assured me that no harm will be done. The exam took about 10-15 seconds, a bit painful but adjustable afterwards. The only problem was that the examiner never bothered to ask me about the presence of hemorrhoids. I didn’t tell him because back then I didn’t know it would be a problem . Anyway, when the exam was over, he to told me to clean up and go home. There weren’t any suggestions on how to make it through the day. The exam results turned out to be perfect NO prostate cancer NO swelling. But up until today, I have now inflamed hemorrhoids and my stools are always hard to pass. My proctologist is almost certain that the rectoscope has ruptured my anal area. And today when passing a stool my internal hemorrhoids popped out. It’s grey and not that hard, but it won’t go back in and it hurts. This is all thanks to that exam. The question is for those who took the same test and were the consequences such as mine???!!! Thank you.

I don’t understand… I drink lots of water, eat only whole grains, eat tons of vegetables, I don’t force my stool… I don’t pick up heavy things… I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. What else causes hemorrhoids? I plan on seeing the doctor in the next month or two… but I don’t have insurance, so I have to wait :( Please, any help is greatly appreciated.
They are internal

Hi, okay recently, I’ve seen some drops of blood on the toilet paper when I wipe my bottom. I think it’s hemorrhoids. The bleeding is minor like small droplets. is it fatal? I heard it’s harmless but I’m not sure. I don’t want to have surgery. nor do I want to die!

I had breast cancer last year, finished chemo in Oct. For the past 3 weeks there has been blood in my stools. Sometimes there is a lot, sometimes none. Besides the blood I don’t have symptoms of hemorrhoids.

The only pain I have is a back ache which I’ve had since January. A recent had a bone scan has excluded bone mets.

I’m certain I don’t have bowel cancer, I’m too young for starters. I am going to see my GP but not for another 2 weeks. I just wanted to know if metastisis to the bowel is possible? I really don’t want anything else to be wrong with me.
I have been taking Tamoxifen since October 08
