I had my baby 8 months ago and now the hemorrhoids seem worse than ever! Is it normal? Besides Preparation H and sitz bath, is there any other effective cream/over the counter medicine out there?

Sorry ladies, I know this is graphic – but for those of you who dealt with hemorrhoids from pregnancy – how long did they take to go away on their own? I have internal hemorrhoids – not extremely painful but indeed uncomfortable and they bleed. It’s been 3 months since I’ve delivered. I also have a small fissure so this makes using witch hazel pads impossible, as it hurts the open cut very badly lol. Already been to the Doc she just suggested stool softeners, etc (which I’ve been doing all along) – but any other things I could do or any hope for these to go away any time soon?

Seems a bit weird asking this (stupid?) question. This is my 3rd pregnancy and i have never had a hemorrhoid problem (Other than a very large one called Hubby.. lol) Almost 8 months pregnant and I have this problem… My question is do they go away? Do they have to be removed? If they go away… WHEN?? This is getting a bit annoying and too much. AUGH!!! Help.

How far into pregnancy is it normal to get hemorrhoids?

I am 34 weeks and this is my second pregnancy. I never experienced this with my first. I’m carrying really low so I’m thinking this has something to do with it? My "bottom half" is really sore & sometimes burns. It hurts to walk or sit & it kept me up all night last night. I haven’t been (TMI) constipated lately so I don’t know why they came. I have a doctor’s appt on Wednesday but was wondering if there is something I can do in the meantime or any signs that I can tell if this is what they are? Any one else experience this and can give me some signs that this may be hemorrhoids? Any advice is appreciated!
