My boyfriend has bowel cancer. He went for surgery last (early) June a week after he was diagnosed. Apparently it went well but he has to go for laser treatment of some sort once a week. What does this all mean because I’m trying to figure out what stage he’s in and trying to comfort him and telling him that he has higher chances. I think he says he’s in the early-mid stage and he’s about 29 and isn’t suffering from any other diseases so does that increase his chances of survival?
If he had the surgery, why is he having to follow up with laser treatments? I’ve been trying to research this but I’m getting confused by the medical terms and whatnot.
Bowels Archives
Our friend recently diagnosed with bowel cancer and she start chemotherapy. It has been about 10 days and she is back home after 4days. Every time we ask her she said she is better than yesterday. we are very confused because we was expecting she will be in a big pain. Can someone explain what is going on? If you or someone you know have gone thorough this pleas. Just to make our self ready I thank you in advance.
I am displaying all of the symptoms of Bowel Cancer but I’m only 15. My Mother was diagnosed with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) a couple of years ago and I’ve heard that its hereditary. The only thing is I have researched on the Internet and most sites say that bleeding from the rectum is not a symptom of IBS, but this is one of my smptoms.
My symptoms include:
* A change in bowel habits
* Diarrhea, constipation or feeling that the bowel does not empty completely
* A lot of blood, either bright red or very dark in the stool
* General abdominal discomfort such as frequent gas pains, bloating, fullness or cramps
* Weight loss with no known reason
* Constant tiredness
I am also very Anaemic and have Depression.
Please help me.
