Is this hemorrhoids or an STD?
I’m 19 years old and I’ve only had one sexual partner. I haven’t been sexually active since December. Recently the area around my anus has been itching. I thought maybe it was irritated from shaving in that region but with further inspection I found a small bump near the opening of my anus. It’s flesh colored and smooth. I’ve been researching HPV online because I’m scared at the possibility of having anal warts but it doesn’t look like any of the pictures. My diet has been really poor lately and I am almost always constipated due to having to take prescribed pain relievers so I’m guessing and hoping that it’s hemorrhoids. However, can a hemorrhoid be a bump at the opening of the anus or does it have to hang out? The bump is just really itchy and so is the area surrounding it. It hasn’t bled but I’ve read that not all external hemorrhoids do. I would think that one would have to have anal sex in order to get anal warts but I could be wrong. Can someone please help me out and take an educated guess as to whats wrong with me? *note: I will be going to the doctor I would just like an opinion to help me sleep better tonight*

Hemorrhoids often occur when you are constipated or sit on the toilet too long. External hemorrhoids itch too. It just sounds like a hemorrhoid to me, but it’s good that you’re going to the doctor to make sure. Good luck.
if you’re constipated often, then yes, its probably a hemorrhoid. Try to keep the area clean and wipe with moistened TP so you dont aggravate it.

I’m sure they’re just hemorrhoids. I’ve done a little research on this myself as I get them as well. That bump is apparently just the blood pooling. So, unless you have genital warts and touched them, then touched your anal area, then I wouldn’t worry about it. Just get some baby wipes, clean the area, then apply some Prep H.

yes u are right, u need to have anal sex or some form of anal contact with ur partner to have anal warts.
my best guess would be that its a fungal infection. but usually fungal infections have more than one lesions( bumps or discolored pathces).
does the bump have an opening, it doesnt need to be a draining one just a small dot like thing with a different color…if so its bacterial growth or a foriegn body reaction( may be to the shaving?)
u can try miconazole ointment and calamine lotion for itching and fungal treatment.( P.S do this only if u are not going to the doctor.)
