Is bowel cancer easy to cure? Please help!!!?
My mum has bowel cancer. Is it easy to cure and will she be ok?

It depends on what part of the bowel and if it has spread or not. If it is a small local tumor and hasn’t spread, it is a simple operation with 100 % cure, If large and with metastasis(spreading) it is more involved and may require extensive surgery with a colostomy bag , radiation and chemotherapy. There are new medical advances every day and many cancers are now cured. Hopefully your mom is in the first type I mentioned with the 100% cure. Good luck. NJ RN
My husband has head and neck cancer and his surgeon was talking to us and said "head and neck cancer is tricky, it’s not simple like bowel cancer, where you go in and cut out the bad part" so I know nothing about bowel cancer but my hubby’s surgeon seemed to think it was easier than head and neck. I think any cancer can be healed provided the immune system is strong enough to kill the cancer cells. We all get cancer cells daily as there are lot of carcinogens around us, plus our diet is mostly cooked food, dairy, meat, sugar, bread etc.. , and the stress is also lowering immune system and is acidic, but because not all of us have low immune system, we get to destroy and kill the cancer cells so they do not get the opportunity to grow.
I think that any illness is a wake up call to learn, change and improve.
So, the most important thing is to change life and eating habits.
Prior to cutting some body parts, or being involved in damaging radiation or chemo, I would learn as much as possible about natural ways to improve immune system and heal from cancer.
There are many books, studies, movies etc.. on the subject.
