Do sentinel piles go away?
I had an anal fissure, but I’m pretty sure I don’t have it anymore since it’s been about 3 weeks and haven’t been experiencing pain or blood lately. What concerns me is that I still have this sentinel pile sticking out my arse. It doesn’t protrude as much as it used to, but I’m worried it won’t go away. Does anyone know if it naturally goes away?

Most of the time they do. Are you keeping your anal health up by washing in there with soap and water to keep it clean? You don’t have to answer me just ask yourself. Clean with soap and water and get in there (but don’t make yourself bleed). If it is real bad and doesn’t go away, you may have to have it surgically removed. It’s pretty common. You can try epsom salt baths too. If bateria lingers there it will keep the flap hanging around.
