how long after having a baby until hemorrhoids disappear?
Just the word hemorrhoid grosses me out so I have not sought medical advice about this. However, my daughter is now 5 months old, and it still feels like my intestine is sticking out down there because the hemorrhoid is so large. It is ALWAYS irritated. I use Witch Hazel, I’ve used Prep. H, I use Hydrocortisone…I am at a loss. It never stops itching and burning, and it bleeds every time I eliminate.
Any advice? How long after baby do they typically disappear?

My kid is 5 months and Mine still flares up once in a while. I didnt even give vaginal birth! Go figure cause I’m wondering the same thing thanks for asking this question lol. I hate the word hemmoroid too.
They don’t really ever go away because the skin is already stretched. They are considered like varicose veins but in that area instead
Mine went away about 2-3 months. If they are that bad and nothing is working on them. I would see your doctor. I did sitz baths daily and I think that helped alot. Good luck, they are a pain in the butt.
Have the same problem! Someone told me they really never go away! They shrink, but then come back when you go again! GREAT I KNOW!!! I would talk to a doctor as I did with mine. He said to keep an eye on it. I can take up to 6-9 months for those muscles to heal after birth. If not, he said I can have it removed. Not sure what it entails as I hope my go away. He also said stay with Prep-H Wipes and cream. Try to keep the prep-h "pad" on it between bathroom trips. It helped me get through some tough days. Good luck! PS. I hate that word hemorrhoid too!
It can take awhile & depends on if you continue to irritate it by getting constipated, so that’s #1: take a stool softner, lots of luids & fiber, 2nd: Call Dr. & ask for a stronger steroidal cream or foam. Don’t be embarassed, your Dr. understands & won’t judge you. Proctofoam or Novacort worked nicely in conjuction with placing a Tucks pad on them at each bathroom visit.

Some of them are so bad they will not go away without surgery, they have some options that are a few treatments over the course of six weeks that can be done on lunch hours. There are internal and external ‘roids. Yeah, I didn’t expect that to be the painful part of healing after childbirth either. Surprise! Five months is a long time, I’d definitely talk to a doc.
