Are you sure it’s an internal hemorrhoid? One of the characteristics of internal hemorrhoids is that they are usually painless. External hemorrhoids have nerves like the outside skin, so they get quite tender, internal hemorrhoids have nerves like the gut – not very specific.
But the treatment for both is the same – 1. Avoid further irritation by treating constipation if you have any at all. Drink more liquid and get some stool softeners (docusate sodium, 250mg once or twice a day). 2. Use baby wipes, not rough toilet paper. 3. Get an over-the-counter hemorrhoid cream (Anusol, Preparation H) and use at least twice a day and after any BM.
If these conservative measures don’t get results in 4-5 days, you should see a doctor
Healing of hemorrhoid depends on the size and what kind of treatment you have.
You are saying that it hurts which is not common for internal hemorrhoid. Only prolapsed hemorrhoid (this is internal hemorrhoid that protrude outside the an..s) hurts. Internal hemorrhoid is located above the dentate line and the visceral nerves there don’t sense the pain.
External and prolapsed hemorrhoid are hurting.
I suggest you visit a doctor to be sure what you have.
go to a doctor. sometimes they require surgery.
have you tried medication for hemorrhoids? if not, then you should. Usually hemorrhoids will cause bleeding at times, do you have that?…go see a physician, why suffer with this problem? They can prescribe something for you and then you will know for sure if it is hemorroids or not..
