Have i got a hemorrhoid?
A couple of weeks ago i found a lump inside my anus. I was also feeling ill so i went to the doctor and she checked it out and said i had a hemorrhoid which i got ointment and suppositories for. It was originally itching and the ointment stopped it itching but it now hurts and neither of the treatments are making any difference. I didn’t sleep at all last night because of it and i feel sick and cant eat anything.
Is there any chance this will go or is it something else? I am scared to go back to the doctor in case it is something worse.
I was worried it might be an anal abscess since i seem to have all of the symptoms for it.
Pain in the anal area or buttocks
Fever
A lump in the anal area
Painful bowel movements
Lower abdominal pain
Fatigue
Swelling in the anal area or buttocks
Night sweats
But i suggested that to the doctor and she said it would be too unbarable to even sit down if i had an anal abscess. Im not sure how accurate that is.
I do find it strange that it would be a hemorrhoid because I am a 20 year old male and I never feel constipated and I already eat all the right foods.

It’s probably a hemorrhoid, I had them and they did itch at first, and then became incredibly painful. The stuff they gave me didn’t help either. What did help me was keeping my hole clean. Wash it thoroughly, as feces and the moisture from your hole can irritate it more. It took a little bit, but thoroughly cleaning it helped it go away. I used Dial soap and hot water. Do it a couple of times a day, and especially after you poop. Once a day in the shower isn’t enough.
yes you have one, it will go away honestly go to bed for like 4 days straight and dont do alot of anal sex or ne thing or else youll f*** ur self up hard core
It’s most likely a hemorrhoid. Also try sitz baths. That’s sitting in very warm water. The hottest you can stand without burning yourself.
Do not strain to have bowel movements. and do not sit on the toilet for long periods.
If it continue to hurt call your doctor and tell her and she can prescribe you something else that will make it feel better.
don’t be scared , go back to your doctor , and explain to her that the treatment doesn’t work , and you are still sick , hemorrhoid has different degree ,and its treatment vary according to its severity.
Classic symptoms of a hemorrhoid. Pain, itching. It will take a few days to completely shrink back to normal. So please keep using the prescribed medication.
I would say any unexplained lumps that don’t go away are not to be ignored. Unlike annoying people on Yahoo they don’t go away on their own. Hemorrhoids are caused by constipation and the best thing you can do is get more fiber in your diet. Metamucil works in the short term, but eat more fruits and vegetables, bran flakes. It worked for me, although sometimes frankly hemorrhoids can be incredibly bloody pains in the ash. Unlike persons you work with, such a pain in the ash can be fixed with surgery. Hope you have insurance.
All your symptoms are indicative of a hemorrhoid. Itching is usually one of the symptoms you’ll experience at first, but if it is aggravated it can be very painful to the point that you can’t sit down. A hemorrhoid is the swelling or inflammation of the veins in your anus/rectum so the swelling or those blood vessels can cause a lot of pain.
Have you ever suffered from constipation?
If the pain persists and the medication that was prescribed does not help you should go back to your doctor. Don’t be scared! Sometimes people don’t have the same response to certain Tx so you might require a different prescription that better suits you. OR, may be your Dr needs to investigate it further. Regardless, if you don’t see any improvements you should definitely see your Dr. Hemorrhoids can be a pain and if it’s causing you to lose appetite and not eat it’s affecting you, so def seek help!
Good luck
