Every time I go to potty- I’ve to strain hard and hence I end up with little blood on the wipe tissue. I have used preparation H, and other oinments- but nothing has worked for me. My main problem is hard stools:-(. How can I prevent re-occurence of hard stools?

OMG, stool softners? Who are these people suggesting this garbage? Your problem is digestion. All digestion goes from North to South, Top to Bottom. When you have a problem like this, don’t look at the bottom and try to fix it, start at the top.
Typical of health care people to look at a symptom and try to fix the symptom and ignore the real problem causing it. More fiber? That will just cause you more problems, until you fix the real underlying problem.
Hard stools says you are not digesting at the stomach level, first, then your friendly flora is probably in bad shape. Then your fat digestion due to bad bile is possibly another issue. Bad bile comes from liver not functioning properly.
I suggest you do the following basic things and without delving more deeply into how you got this way with your diet, that should also change to keep you from continuing to have these problems.
Go to: http://www.healthline.cc (not .com) and order the following products:
Betaine HCL — Take 3 capsules if you are under 150 pounds and 4 if you are over 150 AFTER EACH MEAL.
Activator — Take 2 of these AFTER EACH MEAL.
Quantum Digest — Take 2 of these DURING THE MEAL.
Probiotics — Take 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening.
Cleanse Blend — Take 5 in the morning and 5 in the evening.
Do this for 3 months.
Take your total weight and divide by 2. That number is the amount of water you need to drink each day. If you drink sodas, coffee, or tea, add 1-1/2 times the amount of these drinks you drink in water to the total. Those drinks dehydrate you.
That will take care of the immediate problem.
Now you need to address your diet to fix the real issue permanently. e-mail me for specifics.
good luck
have u tried treatments to completely clense ur colon. talk to a physician and they can reccomend the right treatment….
definately see a doctor. are you eating mostly fruits and veggies? try a stool softner.
Do you exercise? Walking can help a great deal too. One problem with long term use of metamucil type products is that your GI tract become too used to it and the effects diminish over the years. you may need to see your health care provider and have them prescribe stool softeners like Docusate Sodium. If you are younger (less than 50 years), they may want to do a good exam and work up on you. good luck
Are you getting too much fiber? Sometimes it can do the opposite and make you constipated. Try taking less metamucil and see if it changes. Otherwise, Id talk to the doctor.
increase your fluid and fiber intake… exercise a lot…
You can try a liver cleanse.
I went to a health store before and they gave me this liver cleanse to do which helped with others problems like the constipation.
It consists of 2/3 cups of oliver oil to 1/3 cup of lemon juice. Combined together in a galss . Stir it well then drink it do it before bed . Then try to sleep on your left side to drain the liver. after doing this the oil goes down into the colon which can help with moving things along for you.
This can be done twice in a week.
Also drinking 1 cup of warm to hot water in the morning before you eat can help to ease things along.
Then more fruit like grapes, bananas, applesauce or prunes and dates work better than fiber.
or eat bran cereals instead. Like the plain bran flakes.
In general alkaline forming foods are helping with bowel movement, while acid forming foods are hardening the stool.
A diet with 80% alkaline forming foods and only 20% acid forming foods is by many dietitians considered the best.
Regardless of the above, each body is processing foods differently, and you just have to find the foods that are helping and stimulating your metabolism.
Get some prunes, cook them, crash in mixer and drink the juice 3-5 times a day – again, avocado (at least 1/2 a day) is also great against constipation. "Heavy duty" is olive oil + grapefruit juice (equal parts), as well as Castor oil.
You should also consider to check your body pH (acid/alkaline imbalance). You can get pH test strips for saliva + urine by eBay (or in your local pharmacy). Take the one with increments of 0.25 (example: 6.25-6.50, 6.50 – 6.75, 6.75-7.00 etc). Once you have the results you’ll know if the cause of your constipation might be you acid/alkaline imbalance. You and adjust it with proper diet.
Preparation H is helping many people with hemorrhoids, however, since it is not 100% natural (contains pharmacological ingredients such as phenylephrine, pramoxine and hydrocortisone).
Try for treatment of your hemorrhoids Rue Care Oil. It is bringing great results, also to sufferers where Prep h didn’t help.
