Ok, here's the deal...
First of all, you're not going to "get rid" of them without the help of a doctor...so there's that.

Second, the doctor will probably want you to undergo a Sigmoidoscopy or colonoscopy to make sure there are no other polyps, malignant or otherwise, on your colon before attempting to remove your internals.

Third...you probably won't need to undergo surgery per se, there is a method called Ligation where they simply put a very small, tight rubber-band around the hemorrhoid and it dies off in a couple of days.
Hemorrhoid ligation can often be done on an outpatient basis either in your physician’s office or at the hospital.

Are they bleeding? blood in your toilet after "going"?
Hope you have health insurance or an HMO, this will cover the cost...just make the appointment...the hemorrhoids are not going to get any better on their own...and make sure you ask the Doc about Ligation treatment for the hemorrhoids.
Good luck!

Haemorrhoids : I had a doctor tell me once that , "You won't die from them, but you will die with them."
A couple of surgeries over the next few years did the trick. Haven't been bothered by them for over twenty years now.

Once you have been diagnosed by a Doctor, they will probably tell you that surgery is the way to go! In the interim change of diet won't hurt; increase your fiber, fluids (especially water). Good Luck!
