Is on going bleeding from hemorrhoids common and/or a problem?
For the last 3 years I’ve been suffering from regular bleeding episodes when going to the toilet. This may typically occur once every couple of months and last for about a week with bright red blood filling the bowel! As I am currently in remission from an unrelated rare form of cancer, every symptom I experience is always a bit of a concern. I’ve had a colonoscopy some 12-months ago and all was clear, been to the GP on a number of occasions and his conclusion was hemorrhoids which I can try using ointment, live with it or consider surgery! Regular checks with my oncologist seem to present with no cancer related issues, but I still get quite alarmed and concerned when I see a blood stained toilet bowel! Any knowledgeable and educated opinions would be appreciated.
Oh, I also didn’t mention that I am not experiencing any physical discomfort other than occasional itchiness!

You need to check with a doctor for some pain and relief from this problem.
It might also be paracites? Check with the doctor.
Good Luck!
That’s hemorrhoids for you. Straighten out your diet; eat lots of fiber ad make sure you get plenty of fluids to go with that fiber and it’ll make things easier on your hemorrhoids. They will never go completely away, but can be managed.
You should really get another colonoscopy. My dad did and it saved him from cancer (after painful months). But I recommend it for you.
It sounds to me like you have done the proper medical checks, so I will assume the diagnosis of hemorrhoids is correct. I have experience with a similar bout with hemorrhoids. They would appear periodically, over a span of about 2 years. My doctor recommended surgery and I declined as I avoid surgery as much as possible and lean toward using natural remedies. I did a lot of research on the net, and found a website, http://curebleedinghemorrhoids.com that has an all natural treatment and it is guaranteed. This worked great for me and I have avoided the return of the hemorrhoids by following the directions that are given in the free mini course.
Treatment for bleeding hemorrhoids is usually easy, though it may take a while to fully heal. Here is given some of them:
1. The first step is to correct and prevent constipation. For this, include lots of high-fiber food in your diet such as bran, beans, fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grains, and drink enough water (at least 8 glasses per day).
2. Don’t sit or strain on the toilet for long.
3. Sitz baths either in the bathtub or in a special sitz bath that fits over the toilet can help too.
4. use soft moistened toilet paper to clean the area as well as possible. You can use either warm water on plain, unscented toilet paper or use a medicated tissue. Witch hazel or aloe vera moistened tissues are particularly soothing.
John,
I found a story on the Internet that was so similar to my own and maybe yours about endless problems with hemroids. Here it is:
http://health-hygiene.thisishowyoudoit.com/the-cure-for-hemorrhoids/
Anyway, there the man recommended a natural cure for hemroids which I did not think was possible. For me, this program worked like a charm!
Hope this helps,
Tom
