I have had blood in my stool for 2 months now.My ESR and WBC are elevated, my hemoglobin is within normal though.doc put me on ANALPRAM coz i also have internal hemmorhoids and irritation in my anal canal…the pain is lesser now but the blood in my stool still there. I have normal and regular bowel movement but my bowel sounds are hyperactive. I have no abdominal pain thanks God. Solely a rectal pain. Im taking tylenol when pain kicks in usually at night. Im afraid to have colonoscopy im too young to have that. My doc did anoscopy and he found out internal hemorrhoids and irritation in my anal canal. Is it necessary to have colonoscopy at my age?.. pls somebody can help me what to do…

I’d get the colonoscopy no matter your age, which you do not state. One of my students died of colon cancer a few years back, in her early 20s. Better safe than sorry.
It is possible that the blood is a result of haemorrhoids but not certain.
GO BACK TO YOUR DOCTOR AND FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG.
Your age has nothing to do with what tests are appropriate
DO NOT TAKE RISKS WITH YOUR HEALTH
It is better to discover problems early when there is every prospect of a cure being effective.
Ignoring the problem will not make it go away
As I said before GO AND SEE YOUR DOCTOR
You are old enough to be on a computer, you are old enough for cancer. Colonoscopy is nothing to be afraid of, unless you are paying cash. It probably is a localized problem in the rectal area; however there is only one way to be sure you are not bleeding from some site ABOVE the hemmorrhoids, and that is to look. You ave heavily sedated for the procedure. Don’t believe the horror stories people love to tell. Saved my life. Get checked.
