What can be done for bleeding hemorrhoids ?
Obviously I know I need to go to the doctor and I am going to call tomorrow, but what will they do? I have been have problems going #2 since I had a baby 6 weeks ago and I have been taking stool softeners, but it doesn’t seem to be getting any better and today I had a lot of blood from my butt and it felt as if I was cut inside. What will they do to treat this? I know it is going to be very uncomfortable getting checked too. who else had this problem?
Okay, haha ya’ll got your laughs now grow up!
I am assuming it is a hemorrhoid since I am feeling a really sharp cutting like pain when I try and use the bathroom and also there is no blood unless I am trying to go.

Oh I had awful hemorrhoids after my baby was born and they finally went away about 3 or 4 months postpartum. Good for you for going to the doctor. I really should have went because I was in agonizing pain, but I was too embarrassed to go. (Stupid, I know.) What I did was take fiber pills, drink prune juice, drink metamucil, and use prep h after every bowel movement and finally they went away on their own. Also try not to strain or push at all when using the restroom. This sounds kinda gross but you basically just have to wait until the bowel movement is pretty much sliding out on its own.
ive heard ice cubes up your butt are soothing
stick a tampon up your butt
Holy Crap! (i mean bloody crap) hehe.
They should give you hemorrhoid cream.
Im 7 weeks postpartum and have that same problem. I bought hemmorhoid cream and eat softer foods, not cheese, and that has helped.
As long as you can determine that they really are hemmorhoids and not something coming from the intestine, I would stick with the stool softener and get lots of fiber. Try not to strain. If worse comes to worse you can have surgery to repair them.
Have you seen a gastroenterologist? I have colitis/crohn’s disease and had a flare up about six weeks after the birth of my last child, which was a nightmare. They did determine the bleeding was from an internal hemmorhoid and not the intestines, which is why I ask.
bounty paper towels are very absorbent
I had the same and for more than a week
drink a lot of water – add some fat to your diet – olive oil helps a lot – avoid spicy food, rice or any other binder – eat fresh fruit and vegetables – go for a walk everyday – good luck!
i haven’t had a baby.but i have the same problems…i am having a colonoscopy this week. i know i don’t have hemorrhoids..and i still have the pain and bad blood…but i take benefiber and that really helps and i also eat alot of wheat bread..so you can try those… good luck!
Well they’ll look on the outside (for fissures) and they’ll look INSIDE too.
They might ask you if you want treatment for any ‘roids which are still inside the tract. If you say yes, I HIGHLY suggest you have a friend (husband, brother, ANYONE) drive you home.
I too had ‘roid issues postpartum and treatment for the ones inside involves them setting rubber bands around them to cut off the blood flow, so they just drop off. It hurts like a sonofabeotch, and was enough to make me nauseated.
The treatment worked very well, though – and I haven’t had issues since.
