Hemorrhoids getting bigger and bigger as weeks progress!?
Hi, it has been about 5 weeks now since I developed a bump right in the middle of my rectum, it felt like a sharp needle pain when I had a bowel movement and was extremely painful. From my symptoms I think I have a thrombosed or prolapsed internal hemorrhoid. I tried chinese herbal medicine fargelin which is supposed to reduce swelling and thin blood to remove the clot but all it did was make my bleeding hemorrhoids worse, so I stopped taking it. I also used nelsons h care which had no effect at all. As the weeks progress it seems to be getting bigger and bigger and now I’m really scared. I dont want to have surgery because I heard its really painful. Plz help me
P.s. plz no stupid answers, if u gt nothing good to say then stay quiet.

if your symptoms have become that severe, unfortunately i must tell you that you HAVE to have a surgery. modern day techniques are not as brutal as they used to be. i’ve been a doctor for almost 15 years now, and i have to tell you i have seen terrible outcomes when a progressing case went untreated. if there was no worsening or a slow progression, you could take the the conservative route, but based on your description, you must agree to a surgery (which is not nearly as invasive now as it used to be and post-op is much easier). Otherwise, the risk of infection and bleeding is very high. And if, God forbid, you get infected – there will be no choice but to have MORE than one surgery with potential incontinence and other complications and a much longer recovery. i feel for you, but, please, get it done…
