Anyone else have Bleeding Hemorrhoids at 30-31 weeks??
Im 30 almost 31 weeks pregnant and I was wondering if its nessesary to phone the doctor when this occurs? This is the first time its happened. Im pretty sure the bright red blood came from hemorrhoids, I noticed it on the toilet papers. Also what are some natural ways to sooth them?
Thanks

Funnily enough i went to the toilet earlier only for a wee but i seen blood in the toilet so my first thought was to wipe my vagina, but there was no blood coming from there so i wiped my bum and blood was on the tissue, ive felt around it and cant feel any lumps to indicate piles but when i told my mum and partner they both said it can only be piles,im 34 weeks.
It’s perfectly normal to have hemmorroids during pregnancy and if you are absolutely sure you know that is what it is, then you don’t need to phone your dr unless there’s alot of blood which could mean you’ve actually ruptured a hemmeroid which can be dangerous. To soothe the area, try either some kind of hemmorroid pad like Tucks or witch hazel applied to the area after it’s been well cleaned. You probably should also try adding extra fiber to your diet to help keep you regular and to keep your stool from becoming too hard, as that is often a cause for them as well.
I had them at 13 weeks due to a really bad constipation problem. The doctor prescribed me a suppository for the pain, but I never took it. I used witch hazel pads (Tucks), which helped a lot. You can leave them on for a while to help the medicine absorb into your skin. They’re safe to use during pregnancy. You can also ask your doctor to recommend a stool softener. Even so, mine still bleed sometimes when I have a bowel movement or get a little constipated. Can’t wait to see how bad they’ll be after birth. Best of luck to you.

Also Preparation H ointment (not the cream or gel) is very good for hemorroids and available at most chemists.
I have a roid, that my husband named ROY. It’s normal but drink lots of fluids and introduce fiber slowly into your diet. My father in law insists on raisins to help with regularity but I like having a glass of V-8. I found blood when I wiped but it wasn’t because of ROY, turned out I had a severe bladder infection. Call you doctor and see what he/she recommends.
yes, talk to your ob. Also, many women experience bad constipation during pg, you need to drink more water and eat more food with high contents of fiber (any kind of fruit and veggies). Oatmeal cereal, etc. Less carbs and fatty foods.
I had bad hemorrhoids too. The things that helped me the most were: 1. Tucks, 2. Preparation H Ointment (my doctor said it was fine and it really helped), 3. Warm baths (15 minutes, but make sure it’s not too hot, just warm) 4. A donut shaped pillow (I got mine online at: http://www.wisdomandhealth.com/donutpillow.html).
I hope this helps!
