bowel cancer the very first symptoms what are they?
bowel cancer is common place in my family history ,i recently lost my mom to which i believe was the culprit too,for the past few years i have been getting abdominal pain and a bloating feeling as well as feeling tired all the time ,i am currently taking the mini pill for contraception at the moment as well as to deal with the period problems i get i am 39 this year any information which may be of help would be appreciated.

You are not having symptoms of colon cancer and it is rare for anyone under 45. However, you should never wait for symptoms and should be getting colonoscopies starting when you are 10 years younger than your mother was at diagnosis. Your doctor can check you for micro levels of intestinal bleeding with a swab. Small micro bleeding is one of the very first signs of tumor/polyps in the colon and can be checked with an office visit. There may even be some in home kit tests that you can buy at the drug store to monitor bleeding.
Cancer usually has no symptoms until a tumor gets big enough to interfere with the normal functioning of whatever organs are next to the tumor.
